Let's not forget it was super hot and humid up there, that had a huge impact on intensity from both sides come half time. I thought everyone played much "clearer", decisions were better and most kicks and handballs had purpose as oppsed to thrown on the boot that we have been so accustomed to, which is nice to see.

Always heard Alistair Clarkson talk about how Hawks players had to have "elite kicks" first and foremost, hoping Mitchels influence helps in that regard
Elite kicking comes from team confidence and belief.

Guys my phone has shit itself and the ******* live pass is beign a ****** and won't work for me. I have one but it won't work. is there any other way i can watch a replay of the match?

I have the same problem. Live pass/global pass won't work for me either, whereas never been a problem over past years. This Telstra switch over maybe? If I have done my dough, I will be right ropeable and ready to rumble with the AFL.

Well that's pretty easy, all you need is some sort of time traveling device.

Do you have one?

I watched the first 5-10 minutes of the match last night

At training it is a common sight during drills to see the support staff wearing green vests, sort of occupying space and pretending to put pressure on as the players go through ball movement drills

The only difference in the opening exchanges of Saturday's game was the absence of those green vests

Analysis of the game needs to factor in the complete lack of effort shown by Fremantle

Yeah. If there's one thing we know about WC is that we are unstoppable in uncontested games.

Saturday reaffirmed that, but it's still nice to know we haven't forgotten how to ski

Careful on being stuck in the past. Like Keys, I went to a few training sessions and there was a very high emphasis on drills with contested football and prioritising and demanding clean extraction.

Saturday showed us we were able to dominate. If you have the downhill skiing stuck in your head, you will probably be able to justify it. We need a greater body of evidence to say the team in 2017 will be downhill skiers. I have not seen that at training and not seen that in the 2 preseason games. It may come back but I think they have addresses it as a cultural shift that was bad in 2016

Yeah it will be interesting to see. I think JLT1 was evidence that the training probably hasn't helped guys like Masten and Yeo with clean extraction under pressure too much.

If our frontline mids stay fit then who knows how far we can go

Didn't realise we had 200 more possessions than Freo.

There's almost less to take away from the game then the GWS match.

Curbing my enthusiasm, but the good signs are we were very sharp for February.

Russell Lying on the front foot managing expectations with talk of his 4 year rebuild. Lol at Freo supporters!! The master list wrecker himself who has made a career inheriting GF quality lists and turning them into basket cases... trust me he says!

That could be a possibility but another possibility would have been that they know that their best22 or around it and that their performance wouldnt have counted all at the selection table. Hutchings, Redden and Emac were the only seniors under the pump and hutch played like he craved that spot.

What a jet, Mitchell's settled in so well at the Eagles he's already playing for high frees. No wonder he's in the leadership group.
Well he realises he's not just going to get them spoon fed to him now that he's not playing for Hawthorn, so he has to try a little harder to get the umps attention!

meh, there were plenty of very very average players on Freo's list when he came along. Problem was he played them for too long and put too much faith in them. Hardly a GF quality list without his coaching.

If that's the case then I don't know what's worse
