He also butchered one i50 and moments later got the ball in a contest and handballed a metre away to Gov who had someone on his back. It was turned over and Freo went forwards with it. Im not done watching the replay yet but havent seen him do much good in the first quarter and a bit
i think his first few possessions were very ordinary. This basically tarnished his first half when i first watched the game. But to his credit he had about around 6-7 possessions after that were mostly great. Half of them were very nice inside 50 entries. Then he moved into defence in the second half and did well.

Do we know it was down to SPP or Venables from the club at our first pick?

No idea

Don't even know if SPP was on the clubs radar at all with our first pick

Based on reports from the club all players apart from Naitanui, Tunbridge and Rioli are in the frame for playing time as all the other rehab players have recovered

By my maths that means 44 players available for selection for either West Coast of East Perth

Rules for JLT3 allow for 6 interchange players rather than 8 so there'll still be 20 players needing a game for East Perth after Thursday's match against Melbourne. Means half a dozen or so players will be in the ressies

For those that play against Melbourne it's their last game to press for round one selection as I expect it will be a full strength side

Players like Lycett and Duggan will probably play the following week in East Perths season opener to push their case

My best guess at the 24 to play Melbourne:

1. Mitchell
2. Lecras
3. Gaff
4. Sheed
5. Sheppard
6. Yeo
7. Masten
8. Redden
11. Priddis
12. Wellingham
13. Shuey
15. Cripps
17. Kennedy
19. Petrie
20. McGovern
21. Vardy
23. Jetta
25. Hurn
26. Butler
27. Darling
30. Nelson
31. Schofield
33. Hill
34. Hutchings
37. Barrass

Ok, that's actually 25 for those of you who can count but I can't figure out who misses - most here will say Masten although I doubt he'll get left out. So my best guess is one of redden, Hutchings, nelson or butler

Notable omissions :

Lycett and Giles - not 100% and should play at East Perth
Duggan - will get more game time with the Royals which he needs
Mackenzie - form hasn't been good enough and playing 4 KPDs is silly
Lamb - trololololol

If you guess as bad as you post I'd say Butler's in trouble.
