That would require WADA to tweak their rules, not the AFL.
Their tweaking usually results in harsher penalties, rather than lesser ones!

Jobe is a fantastic person. But he cheated. And as one of the most senior players (along with Fletcher, McVeigh and co) most culpable for leading young kids into an injection program where to this day, the club claims it doesn't know what the players were injected with. His personal family doctor wrote that he was worried about using hormone derivatives on young players - why did Jobe not heed is advice? He wanted to get an advantage - he cheated. He loses the brownlow. But he's a good bloke.

Agreed and usually never do, but just feel the need to speak out against flogs who constantly post ridiculous and contradictory statements while pushing their own agenda all at once

You meant to say "the anti-Essendon agenda", surely?

We all have agendas, morals, ideas.

Serious question... Will Essendon review their B&F results of 2012 now as well?

By my count, David Zaharakis should be recognised as the 2012 winner of the Crichton Medal (originally 6th) - as everybody else in the top 10 that year was rubbed out for doping violations.

Given that Jobe stated that, "The basic principle behind this prestigious award is to honour the fairest and best. If there is a question in peoples minds as to whether the award is tainted, the fairest and best thing to do is to give it back and honour the history that has gone before me.

And given the club's official statement on Jobe handing his medal back stated that: "The Club takes responsibility for placing Jobe in this position and unreservedly apologises to him and his family" - surely the club and Jobe will ensure that the rightful best and fairest player from Essendon in 2012 is appropriately recognised?

No would be my guess and I'm sure David would agree.

He wouldn't know which red cordial he gave them, but it was definitely the good red cordial, not the bad one.

Even if they trash your house, climb the walls, don't sleep at all, paint the dog...it definitely wasn't the bad red cordial.

Oh no. That's the good red cordial.

The "good" red cordial.

The good "thymosin".

if cotchin and mitchell had brownlow clauses to trigger bonuses in their contract, can they go back to their clubs and ask for their money? Were their future contracts undervalued as the players could rightfully say the brownlow makes us worth more? If hawks AND TIGERS have to pay out can they ask afl for special treatment as their tpp may be over from a few years ago?
