HehehehehehSydney taking the piss now. What gives them the right to hold the trade period ransom for so many clubs?

I remember when Carlisle was going to the PSD. those were fun times.
It doesn't matter what Dodoro requests. Sydney have to put up a reasonable offer first. 9 + 25 in a weak draft for Daniher and a future second (lol) is not even close to acceptable. That's end negotiations now type of offer. We AREN'T playing around. We made you an offer and said 'take it or leave it' and you have changed your stance on several occasions over a week and a half as highlighted above. Essendon are the ones that are playing around.
I think you'll find pretty much anyone will agree 9 + 25 is far more reasonable than 5 + 9 + Heeney/Blakey/Florent/Mills
If Papley goes Swannies will be bottom 2-3 next year. JD will be primed for a rethink. Will be a long way back.
Yeah, but of course we're not going to bother making a more reasonable offer if Dodoro doesn't even try to be realistic with his counter-offer. It's a waste of energy. It doesn't matter what Dodoro requests. I highly doubt the trade goes through. Essendon and Sydney are too far apart.
Okay, correct. He said it was Essendon's intention to hold Daniher to his contract. Yet now it appears Essendon are the ones trying to force the deal.No he did not. Not once ever.
5 + 9 + Heeney/Blakey/Florent/Mills
Picks 5 + 9 were on the table as early as last week and no player gets traded for that not even judd. Lloyd is the essendon media mouthpiece conditioning you fools into believing 5 + 25 is the offer so when you get 5+9 tomorrow you will all praise dodorio as some kind of hero. The reality is Dodoro is holding out hoping the swans are silly enough to add in a player like Heeney which they won't so you will take what they offered last week at 7:23pm tomorrow. You chased Daniher, despite what you say, got him to nominate your club then didn't follow through to get the deal done. You didn't even put up a half decent offer.
You have just put ALL players and Agents on alert that you will not do what it takes to get a player to your club even though you have said you will. You can not be trusted.
Good luck getting decent players to your club, a club that struggles to do so at the best of times and has players wanting to come back home.
An invested club will put their energy. Sydney aren't invested. Which was my original point.Yeah, but of course we're not going to bother making a more reasonable offer if Dodoro doesn't even try to be realistic with his counter-offer. It's a waste of energy.
Walking away is a negotiation tactic. A simple, but effective one. Judging by the apparent desperation it's causing, it appears to be working too.An invested club will put their energy. Sydney aren't invested. Which was my original point.
Be pretty funny if we landed Cutler, Phillips and possibly Bonar nice and early then head home early for dinner.Should be a pretty quiet day tomorrow now.
The Saints can take centre stage with the Hill trade.
We might just wrap up 2 or 3 trades for depth players and be done.

Ready to start pre-season was last i read. What is JD’s current fitness status? Is he running? Is he ready to launch pre-season, or rehab group, or “off legs” (or whatever). I’ve missed stuff in this media thing, but has this come up? Seems of critical concern for both clubs, no?

Umm we were bottom 5 this year and he still nominated us.
2 spots further down the ladder and he changes his mind?
Yeah.
Nah.
How would you any of what you just wrote? What rubbish. We AREN'T playing around. We made you an offer and said 'take it or leave it' and you have changed your stance on several occasions over a week and a half as highlighted above. Essendon are the ones that are playing around.

It certainly drew a big article out of Robbo.Walking away is a negotiation tactic. A simple, but effective one. Judging by the apparent desperation it's causing, it appears to be working too.
ORFox wouled have shelled out a fortune to broadcast the final hours...everything up to this point haw been staged to add drama and intrigue. All the major deals will have been completed at this stage, just waiting for the "Big Finish" to announce them all.
No, it's based on literally everything in the media being about how Sydney owe it to Joe to get a deal done, and that all information disseminated pertains to Essendon and their demands. We only found out tonight what Sydney's offer actually was. We have been dead silent. No that is your interpretation of it because all you Sydney fans have such a massive chip on your shoulders about the Vic centric bias of the Media.
You are so blinded by it you believe that Barrett and Mcclure do Essendons bidding, when the reality is that they hate us and have never written a good thing about us.
The deal isn't over until Daniher joins us or says he no longer wants to, be that tomorrow or next year.Anyways, the deals over and it's time to move on.
Cheers to yourself and Freeagent1 for some mostly good posting and discussions.
We don't want to trade Daniher. There's no point pretending otherwise. We're the seller not looking to sell. The selling will happen when we are satisfied.Walking away is a negotiation tactic. Haven't seen any linked.Seems there aren’t many Bombers fans in this thread that can grasp the concept of a 3 way trade or a clubs ability to on trade picks from other deals.
Probably stuck to the pots while writing it and avoided moving up to pints until after it was published. #sobraveIt certainly drew a big article out of Robbo.
Thats the most coherent piece he has written in months. It even looks edited.
We don't have any bargaining power, yet all Essendon have done is whinge to the media, rather than simply walking away from the deal. Riiiight. We might upgrade our offer tomorrow, but there's legitimately nothing wrong with our negotiation tactics. We don't want to trade Daniher. There's no point pretending otherwise. We're the seller not looking to sell. The selling will happen when we are satisfied.
Sydney are the buyers. They don't have the bargaining influence you think they have. Laughable if you seriously think 9 + 25 will get it done. Very far away from what we'll accept.
