Some supporters of so-called successful clubs just can't handle the down times. Saints, Dogs, Swans etc mostly have a lifetime of being unsuccessful so to us that's normal, we're used to it and it's not hard to cope with.
I suspect there are many sainters that would have more trouble coping with a period of success. It just wouldn't be natural.
To true supporters, success is irrelevant - just being is enough.

Well when you aren't successful i'd imagine you would have no choice on that matter.

When you win flags on a semi-regular basis it leaves you with a taste for it. Maybe one day you'll get that feeling.
