What really annoys me was pre game on MMM N Brown was saying how Tredrea would be viewed alot higher in the game if he played for Essendon, then to hear them all bang on about Hurley it made me go urgh!

The guy's an excitement machine. 3 games in and he's already at the stage where if the ball goes towards a contest he's in... you expect him to clunk it every time.

Tough to know about the timing really.

Part of me thinks that if we were ready to throw O'Shea, Jacobs (after 2 SANFL matches and GF!) and Irons to the wolves asap, why not Butcher and Lobbe.

Having said that, it may be that by bringing them in when our season was shot to pieces, the pressure has been off them a bit and they have been able to go at their footy with a nothing-to-lose mentality.

All I know is that those two big guys should never be left out of the team again for anything other than injury.

Even Jon Ralph among his usual denigration of us - we're already 'wooden spooners' apparently - noted the comical Trengove-Hurley free that halted our 7-goal avalanche and rescued the momentum.

No mention of Butch getting monstered time and again for no compensation, be it scragged on the lead or shouldered/HITB in marking contests.
