If we have indeed signed JB we need to announce it asap. People will flock to Adelaide Oval just to see him play.

We should also announce whether he intends to keep 32 next year (and if so stock plenty of 3's and 2's).

Not sure if it's been mentioned but I enjoy the fact that he's nos.32. Dog of a kicking action but very effective like Paul Ntheast.

I heard J Carr on the radio during the game say he needs to work a lot on it over the summer. My problem with this is if it's working for him now why change it? I'd be inclined to let it be and then if it becomes a continual accuracy problem then take a look at it. Having said that I haven't seen what he's like from 50m out.

The Phil Hughes of footy, Changing what has worked can have a big backfire.

I remember someone saying that he, JT, Bob and Moore would be spacing out their announcements to stagger the flow of good news. God I hope this is the case and we see him announce it this week.
That was I,

But Butch wasnt mentioned.

Not sure if we will have his signature by this week, have a feeling it may come the week after. But, hope I am wrong as would be great to get it this week.

Matty's confident of getting it done.

"'Butch' has given us something in the last three weeks," Primus said.

"We know he can mark the ball and kick goals. But I thought his pressure once the ball hits the ground was great for a big guy.

"Butcher's going to be important for us for the future like Jackson (Trengove) who has re-signed.

"We're working hard on (Alipate) Carlile and (Matthew) Lobbe. So hopefully in the next week we can have some good news in that regard.

"We've got a great young group of players who want to play a lot of footy together.

if we have to overpay by 100k, so be it, he will generate more than that income for the club. He is one of the guys who people will flock to see as he gets better and better. A real franchise player so to speak - we MUST hang on to him - he is the future

Give him a blank cheque.

I can't remember a more important signature.

There it is ...

Surely he has to get a rising star nomination

And FFS, pay the kid what he wants and sign him up fast.
Trengrove joked, But I am as serious as I can be, If Mr Rhode can mortgage his house to put more into the deal he better damn well do it.

His big issue for mine is that he doesn't hold the ball in his hands correctly. He hold the ball too high up and it doesn't allow him to guide the ball down with his right hand as he takes his left hand off the ball, instead he drops it from a high point with both hands. Should be very easy to fix, give me a week with him and it'd be fixed.

That you Blighty?

Butcher a Vic and St Kilda supporter his whole life...Would love him at the Saints. You blokes would obviously prefer to keep him however if he requested a trade what would be reasonable...in terms of picks...? If the Saints lose a big fish to GWS ie Goddard we may have a couple up our sleeves. Hope goddard doesn't leave though. Somewhere between pick 5-10 for Butcher...?

yer a pick around the 6,7 mark with another pick around the 30?

But lets all pray and hope our boy butcher stays:thumbsu:

butcher is worth pick 1 and 2 he is going to be the best forward in the comp for the next decade. i would still be hesitant about that trade as you still dont know what your geting with draft picks, even low one's, at least we know what we've got. i dont know anyone whos kicked 11 goals in his first three games in the last 20 years.

No. Just no.
Know that is selling him short, just didn't want to come across as a one eyed port supporter, the calls pick 1 and 2 is a bit rich, probably closer to pick 5 and pick 15

Read my one and only blog that i posted about the great man earlier today
