Geelong don't typically operate like that. If we've said no to pick 22, as is rumoured, we won't be accepting it, whether on the last day of the trade period or not. Same thing happened with Tim Kelly - WCE offered pick 18, we said no, they didn't budge so we kept him for another year. If Freo don't budge on pick 19 then Clark will stay at the Cats.

Personally, I'd take pick 22 and run, but Wells/Mackie won't.

Don't believe everything you read on Twitter. Only a few days ago they said Wells asked for pick 8, the very next day Wells said he asked for pick 8 but with something else going back Freo's way.

Wells is far from a pr**k, he has a long track record of being very easy to deal with. Jordan is contracted for 2022, Wells can demand pick 1 if he wants.

The enquiry should be as simple as:

Geelong - ‘Ok so we said 22, well done for getting that, but we see you got 19. So we were thin…’

Freo - ‘No’
