History will say we gave him up too cheaply - I don't recall the specifics of the trade - I assume he wanted out and we facilitated that.
Essentially you're right. He came to the right place (a team desperate for his services) and you lot added Will Hayes, who played a few games in 2019 - more than most pick 78's.

“Jordan had expressed a wish to continue his career at another club, and we understand he wanted to have a fresh start,” said Bulldogs’ General Manager of List and Recruiting, Sam Power.

Has possibly got 2-4 years left. Fletcher, Prestigiacomo, Scarlett, Lake... a few have played full back well into their 30s.

Whilst he’s not of that quality he’s quite a decent fullback and no one on the list looks close to taking his spot

It must have become too much for him, the injury gods have been cruel.

Valuable player and by all accounts a decent human.

Life is all about timing, he walked away from the game with his stock still at a high value. A rare thing.

For some reason I'm not at all surprised.

I wish him all the best with his future endeavours.

He could very easily stay in footy if he wants to... either coaching men or women or has showed some good ability behind the microphone if he wanted to venture into the media.
I speculated on his past 6 months recently (Game Day - Round 8 vs. Richmond, Sat 07/05, 1:45pm MCG) and got clipped for it, but this is still a surprise.

Whether it’s with us or elsewhere he’ll be in the system in 2023 in some form as a coach.
