Great story. May there be many winning chapters ahead for JC.

I just don’t want the kid getting torched after one game. He’s replacing Degoey so there’s going to be unfair expectations.
Definitely better than Sier, because he has something he didn't. The drive to succeed. The work ethic as well. Josh has done some hard yards, given where he was 2 years ago. Some always go negative very early… sometimes I’m one of them eg Madgen
But I reckon this kid is a 50 gamer at least.
Will be better than Sier… and remember how over hyped he was on this board
Whilst not as dynamic as De Goey at his best… I’m confident after 3 games his key stats will compare well to De Goeys
Some on here have embellished De Goeys ability and consistency to the point where they believe without him we can’t be successful going forward
......and not nailed to the cross by the supporters on here!Collingwood JC's:
Carmody, John 16 games 6 goals
Carmody, Jack 94 games 12 goals
Carroll, Jack 2 games 0 goals
Clement, James 146 games 13 goals
Clifton, Jeff 102 games 0 goals
Cloke, Jason 76 games 10 goals
Coucher, Jim 6 games 0 goals
Crisp, Jack* 190 games 58 goals
Crow, Justin 1 games 0 goals
Hopefully Josh ends up one of the best JC's.
It’s not embellishment but rather delusion that would have someone thinking a mid-season draftee is going to “compare well” to the bloke with the second most coaches’ votes at the club this season.

I knew I had you on ignore for a reason.
If De Goey is out for 3 weeks and Carmichael gets significant midfield time…
I’ll tag you in a stats comparison
You and me, both!!Fantastic to see Josh get his debut and probably the right game to do it in you’d think
All I personally wanna see from him is some indication that he’s a genuine clearance player because it’s something we ever so desperately need more than anything else right now
Not expecting some sort of dominant game from him on debut. But if I see him get his body in the clinches and get some real, genuine bone fide clearances I’ll be rapt.
Are you from Merbein? I grew up there.Doing everyone at Merbein proud, i was lucky enough to be in the area atm so i bought tickets to the game. Kill it Carmy
I too wish the young guy all the best in his debut on Saturday against North. Hopefully he performs well enough to keep his place in the side, if not even better. "Floreat Pica", J C.Wish the young man every success. Fills a need with DeGoey out, has some nice size to him so hopefully he can take the step up to AFL. Glad he has been given the opportunity.
What about simply "CARBO"? Why? I had an English Expression & English Literature teacher in Year 12 whose surname was Carmichael. And guess what his nickname was? "CARBO"! By the way, he was a good bloke too. Goodnight & goodluck. So happy for this bloke! I posted these b4...

I suppose we'll get to see which one he is tomorrow.
I'm more out Koorlong way but i do play for the club. Carmy was midfield coach for under 18s in 2020, and i did do the seniors pre season that year with himAre you from Merbein? I grew up there.
