If he got walked to the draft surely he wouldn’t get by the bombers, he’s exactly what they need & given the s**t they are in, no one wants to play for them so he would fit right in
PSD more likely - North would seriously look at him before the Bombers would get a chance.

I would have though pick 15, F 1st with 39 & 65 going back to Brisbane would have been a start.
It's the start of slight unders for us and the least we should begrudgingly accept. Still values him worse than Taranto.

It does but we'd accept the reality of the circumstances though.
There's accepting unders, then there's being a walkover which has the potential to bite you in subsequent trading years

Geez, the panic on here...

7 days to go.

We haven't even started to tango yet.
I don't think anyone is panicking, the people on here are discussing the ludicrousy of the Brisbane offer, and the additional ludicrousy of the Brisbane supporters who are trying to defend it.

The problem comparing this deal to Taranto is we didn’t get any picks back after giving away 12/19. The dogs are looking at the (reported) Lions offer and probably feeling a little insulted. They’re insanely similar players so the value is pretty accurate as Taranto was a pick 2 and Dunkley has probably a better cv so far.

The issue for the Bears needing points for the 2 F/S picks is a problem that they knew would occur months ago and hardly a shocker. I can’t figure out why Gold Coast haven’t been mentioned in the media since the report of a stalemate has come out today? They’d be much more likely to get a fair deal for the dogs done and it’s only an hour away from Brisbane. If the lions don’t play ball surely that is the play now?

It's also the fact that Brisbane have already traded out their R1 pick and still want it done.
Nek minnet: Bulldogs trade out 30 & 39 to Freo for Lobb & spare change...

If Josh puts on his big boy pants and stops listening to his dad, 14 & 17 would get it done.
What a handover of the baton - Josh Kennedy to Dunkley. Similar types

Can paint it any which way you want. It’s a bad result for a team that supposedly should be in their window still.

The next team will be more likely to call your bluff because you aren’t going to always forego deals to keep losing players for nothing.
No, what will happen is players, and in particular, player managers will ensure a deal can be done before they let it get to this stage. Pickering should've learnt from the first time 2 years ago. Maybe teams shouldn't chase a player unless they are legitimately trying to get deals done in good faith. In this case;

1. Pickering has failed for the second time
2. Brisbane has also screwed over Dunkley selling him a picture and not willing to pay for it.

In the real world, people ensure they have a way of paying before committing. If I want to buy a caravan, Sports car and a house I don't then spend most of my money on the caravan and car and then ask the person to drop the price of the house.

Calm down. There is a week to go.

Look how the Bulldogs offered their 2nd round pick for Akermanis in 2006 (actually traded down that pick beforehand to bring in another player).

It happens, how many times do you end up dealing with the exact same picks you had at the start of the week?

Two firsts was enough for an out of contract player even with seconds coming back.

The fact remains that two firsts is better than nothing. End of story. If he goes in the PSD so be it. We have Ashcroft and Fletcher and can keep next years first.

You guys have *ed up royally.
Says the person who supports a club that values getting McStay over keeping a young gun in Henry and is palming off Grundy for a packet of chips to a premiership contender. I think that is effing up royally.

Pies want Henry, he wants to go, getting someone who fits our style is handy especially when it's for free.

Grundy issue is being corrected as we don't value a ruck at that price, silly contract and getting out now instead of trying to get out in 2 years with no currency is a good idea.

You guys have an opportunity to get a kid who is 25 and will instantly improve your midfield and actually wants to come to your club, absolute disrespect shown to the Bulldogs with that offer.
