Two firsts was enough for an out of contract player even with seconds coming back.

The fact remains that two firsts is better than nothing. End of story. If he goes in the PSD so be it. We have Ashcroft and Fletcher and can keep next years first.

2 first was the fair offer especially considering Pick 15 and your next year's first should be around that mark.

Absolute bargain for Dunkley and what do you do? Get real greedy and ask for 2 seconds back.

Not sure it’s panic. I just can’t see any way you can get it done.

Future first and 21, very similar to 12 + 19 for the Taranto deal. Simple - especially when the Taranto deal is likely Richmond paying overs so that they can also get Hopper (contracted) for unders.

We might look at trading matho out for points elsewhere and then not need any picks back from the dogs just to smooth that part out.

Have you ever bought a car or a house before? Sales people must lick their lips when they see you coming

Lol you don't get deals on cars anymore mate, 6/12 month delivery delay on cars the haggling is in the past.

Yeah I own a house, when I bought my place, 4 bedroom, Theatre, 2 Bath and 2 Lounge, I didn't offer them a price and then ask for 2 units back in return.

Would you take that for Neale at 26 years of age?

Hi ho, hi ho - preseason draft we go ….

Nah I think our starting offer was ok tbh. Take out the first 2nd and it's fine. If they want more we leave it

This will be good what's Matho worth?

It's not very similar, and that doesn't seem to be working as GWS have pushed back Richmonds offer for Hopper.

We need points for F/A’s as well, why should the Lions buckle to the Dogs first demands? This was always going to drag out and whether people like it or not the team losing the star player almost never gets fairly compensated, no matter the team.

Sam Power is a treasure.

Telling Dodoro to GAGF two years ago with his silly attempt to get in on the Treloar deal, and now this.

Don’t see how the swans have a foot in the door when the point of moving to Brisbane was his GF lives here
And they probs don't have cap space after recent player extensions unless they spread the deal over 7-8 yrs.

I thought the Dunkley's weren't on good terms with the Swans anyway.

If he was uncontracted that's probably the best we can get

We've been shafted several times when uncontracted players leave eg. Yeo and Docherty

It happens

What did you get for a drug addict Dayne Beams who was in contract?

Swings and round abouts.

The whole trading that first and just expecting Dogs to roll over is insulting.

I have no dog in this fight, if you really think your club has gone about this in a respectful manner then you need medication.

It's nowhere near remotely fine.
Two firsts for Dunkley and two mid to late picks (37 and the fourth). Might be unders but you really don't have any leverage other than losing him for nothing. Which affects you more than us. We keep our firsts and still add quality youngsters without going into any deficit.

Interesting the article says Brisbane are wanting to hold 21 til draft night. What is the best we would offer the dogs then? 25 and a future first? Unders surely. Must have something planned we don't know about. Brisbane have a good track record of getting deals done and being fair at the trade table, but this is strange.

I said this at the time, that I really didn't know how this trade/draft period was ever going to be possible - and now I'm even more baffled.

Ashcroft is the number 1 player in the draft and Fletcher is a projected first rounder. Even with discounts, you need over 3 thousand points to get both of them (the equivalent of Pick 1). Then, you need to trade some of your points in the form of a 3rd rounder to get Gunston and not dilute the McStay compo. Then, on top of all of this, you somehow need to come up with another 2 first rounders to get Dunkley in the door.

Something has to give. I said yoy guys would be the most fascinating club to watch during the trade/draft/fa period and boy was I not wrong. Did not see you trading back with 15 though...that one was a surprise given I expected it to go the Dogs.

My money is on you'll either forgo Fletcher and get all the others, or, you'll accept that close to your entire draft hand for next year will be wiped out instead. Still a lot to play out though

Says the person who supports a club that values getting McStay over keeping a young gun in Henry and is palming off Grundy for a packet of chips to a premiership contender. I think that is effing up royally.
Yes we live in a world where people can’t have an opinion on a team that isn’t theirs because of something a team they support did (that’s completely out of their control).

You asked me yesterday if I was a toddler. Was it because you wanted to know you weren’t the only one on the website who was?
