Reality is Lions need another gun mid without one, no chance in September and while the two F/S will be guns going to take a few years before they reach a level.

We offered two first rounders with late seconds coming back. If that was rejected then so be it. I don’t think Dunkley is the diff between us winning a flag or not next year so happy for him to slide. We are still in a better position than most other clubs

Gold Coast need a captain for the next five years and a future midfield leader. He would be perfect.

If you're going to pretend to be be smart here at least get the facts right. Gold Coast are clearing cap to target someone next year. Jack Martin nominated very large front ended deal so that no one else could afford him before Carlton at pick 4 if they were at pick 15 like you are someone else would've taken him

AFAIK, they do. They were just shuffling Bowes out because he wasn't worth that money - and don't forget, they have the Rankine space to play with.

Nick Stevens worked out well for Carlton, O'Keefe and Papley stuck with Sydney. Dunkley still gets to the Sunshine State and given how well he has already played despite eyeing a move for two years, it's completely worth it.

Carlton had to ridiculously front end half of Martin’s contract just to manouvre him past only the Suns and Dees in the PSD. I’d be fascinated to see what Brisbane would propose to do to get Dunkley past 12 teams.

Brisbane obviously have other trades to get done. So why not get those done and just wait until time becomes the Dogs enemy and talk bacon then - bit like Keith and Bruce trades no?

I would have though pick 15, F 1st with 39 & 65 going back to Brisbane would have been a start.
