AFLW 2024 - Round 10 - Chat, game threads, injury lists, team lineups and more.
Next two seasons will show how good Kelly is.
He should be the highest paid player in the comp if he moves teams. Expect there to be plenty of interest from Melb clubs again.
Yep, Carlton, St Kilda, North.Like Carlton & St Kilda?
Then again, I did tell you all this last year.

Well he did say he was in awe of the atmosphere / tigers supporters at the PF...maybe he would take less to join a big successful club eh?Yep, Carlton, St Kilda, North.
Bombers would be interested as well.
Wouldn’t be surprised if those three went all in this time and jacked his price right up.
Would also be a great replacement for Pendles at the Pies.
Expect godfather offers from several Melb clubs next year, not just North.
Only cynical North supporters would suggest that mateVery interesting article that.
Cynic would suggest he's spending two years at GWS to try and win a flag before heading to North after all.
Hope you've got a plan b snake...Like Carlton & St Kilda?

Yeo is better bur Laird is only getting praise now when hes deserved it for thr last 3 yearsHave you watch Laird play? Most dominant back flanker in the league by far.
Reckon there will be a few more clubs offering godfather deals this time round. He does say he thought he was off to us. That was certainly our feeling too. I don't blame him for staying there to try and win a flag and avoid the North rebuild. Not like he signed a long term deal at GWS like Greene.
I'm confident he will be a North player in 2020.

Carlton, Collingwood and Essendon should make serious plays for him and the size of these clubs will add a different factor to his decision making process.
North wouldn’t want to miss him this time round.
Yeah, but it's not about competing for money. If he wanted that he would have gotten a deal better than Greene's. He wants to don the blue and white stripes, and he's never going to have to worry about missing a house payment.
You might think you have an argument, but you don't.
Righto mate, we'll see...Yeah, but it's not about competing for money. If he wanted that he would have gotten a deal better than Greene's. He wants to don the blue and white stripes, and he's never going to have to worry about missing a house payment.

Hope this call doesn't backfire on you as well

No. Can’t see him staying at GWS his whole career. He will come back to Melb in the next couple of years and GWS will be adequately compensated. At that time the competition for his services will truly heat up. He sounds like a considered lad andYeah, but it's not about competing for money. Lol If it had nothing to do with money then North wouldnt have to offer so much.Yeah, but it's not about competing for money. If he wanted that he would have gotten a deal better than Greene's. He sounds like a considered lad and
the lure of other big clubs and significant dollars will come into play, which wasn’t there last time.

He stayed to win a flag.I don't think the size of the club will matter at all. Isn't something that affected his decision to stay.
He's a top 5 talent, you have to pay that much to get them.
Pretty funny the way he sees your club as, how shall I say this, something to stick it in after the pub white he waits for his real love to come along.
You're a glorified TAC Club.
