I found this interesting in addition to what he said during press conference link that I posted.

I got the impression that that he may have realised that he couldn't put a square peg in a round hole (previous years).

I'm not sure if that's right when he couldn't put a round peg in a round hole re

He did say the best teams usually have the best defence..........so lets see what this Moore experiment does to our game plan.

I don't have high hopes for this year especially without Fasolo, Elliott and De Goey to start the season.

I think we're looking at our side with the players we know.. they'll be a couple or more dark horses that'll make an impact I'm sure.

You just don't know who's going to come out of left field here re.

I’m onboard with the best defence plan.
But I still see no difference in our in50 conversion rate. And for all the defence in the world, failure to convert will kill you every time.
We work hard, we defend well, but when we go forward it’s haphazard.
That’s been the past five years, 2018 will have to address that first and foremost.

These so called experts (J Browne was a gun player... No doubt... ) who for $$$ and headline as low hanging fruit, give us crap, for good reason, or mostly headlines, to feed news and their families.
My hope after watching a lack lustre Marngrook (short of a run...i usually love it... Miss Gilly big time..) And the big Neg they and AFL site have marked us at, is a galvanising effect for the club internally... Yes, it is ground hog day.
But words must speak before mid season ..,.
I digress
Side by side is now or never for this era...

I didn't mind what Brown said, i've been saying the same thing for ages, good forward lines take years to develop chemistry with the midfield, how can we nurture that chemistry when we don't have a KF? Reid Fwd-Back-Fwd-Back/Cox in out in out in out.

Hawthorn had permanent forwards in their heyday, they trained as forwards, they played as forwards, our forward line is a cluster **** to put it bluntly and Buckley has had years to rectify it.

This is unfortunate on so many different levels. We as collingwood are big targets, everyone loves to read about our downfall. Browns nonsense about our training intensity, is not even news worthy. The second unfortunate part to this, and perhaps the biggest issue is that our own supporters and the sheep on this board by into the crap that is printed each day.

Nobody rates us, they didn’t in 2008, 2009,2010 and they won’t now.

I am certain that the missing element to our success is a bit of self belief and confidence. There will hopefully be a game where it all clicks for us this year, or perhaps that was against Melbourne rd23 last year. Confidence is what defines great teams.

I'm so confused by whatever that says. But if they say we're no good, I'm afraid they're right.

Only way to prove them wrong is win more games.

Effort and training is not a big concern for me though. Rarely walk out from the G wishing we tried harder. The skill level/ability of players and tactics / coaching has been more of a frustration for me.

Pendles response to Jonathan Browns criticism on 'On the couch' regarding or 'lacklustre' training session he observed.

“We actually played an intra-club the next night, so we were out there on a light captain’s run and training for maybe 45 minutes
. Guys were doing their own prep and doing what they needed to do to get right for the game the next night,” Pendlebury told Triple M’s Hot Breakfast.
“It’s good that he picked up on it being a low-key day for us.”
Pendlebury spoke somewhat sarcastically, as if to imply that Brown should know better about AFL player preparation in the lead up to an early season match.
“I do remember the day he was there. He was standing out the front of the cafe watching us and I actually thought ‘I wonder what he thinks we’re doing right now’. It was a low-key day,” Pendulebury said.
“I wondered if he thought it was actually team training. Clearly he did.”

Clearly BROWN failed to understand the reason for the low intensity - and that alone shows he is not a very insightful analyst.
Gerad Healy or Whately, would have covered every base and sought an explanation for the low intensity, and uncovered the intra club match as the reason. But Browny, makes an ill-informed assessment and thereby just reinforces that he lacks the rigour to be an insightful let alone influential analyst.

Of even more concern however are the BF posters who, have immediately sided with him, to further pot the club.

You guys have NFI.

Sicily - the great Breretonesque shining light, is now playing down back, as was Gunston for much of 2017.
