At the track and my general observations. He short filled the first stop to jump 2 positions and take the lead but his second stop didn't seem long enough for the full fuel requirement.
Are you in the main Grandstand?

Well done to Brown on the title, those Bulls are just a bit too good

There's no real parity issues anymore, they just do a much better job especially with tyre life

Not an RB fan at all but I can’t not like Will Brown.
100%

I met him at a TCR round at the Bend, driving the i30 and I'd just bought one. Was super keen to have a chat and even wanted to check out my car. Ended up inviting the wife and I to watch the day in the pits. Great fella.... need more like he and Chaz.

Sad to see the Speed Series finish up too. More more relaxed meetings and you get opportunities like I did, for a fraction of the cost

No mandatory fuel drops this year. Teams are free to put as little in the car as they think they need to reach the finish line.
OK, must have missed that brief. So the undercut in the first round of pitstops was amazing. Passing 2 cars with a 10 second turn around even with being held up with traffic must have yielded great fuel economy to execute in the 2nd pitstop and maintain the lead.

Weird since they were talking so much about how much they needed to put in.
It's a matter of practical necessity vs regulation. They all need to use the same amount of fuel (more or less), and the commentators know how much that is - hence the time discussion. However, there's no regulated amount that they need to put in, as specified by Supercars.

He cut it pretty fine, with Waters coming out just behind him after the 2nd stop - but yes, he made the most of the clean air after his 1st stop.

It helped that Randle's car got slower & slower as the race progressed, and Waters spent several laps being held up by him until the team orders were given and Randle moved aside. Those slow laps that Waters spent behind Randle were enough to give Feeney track position after the 2nd round of stops.

... mind you, with the way Waters fell off the pace in the last 15 laps, it probably wouldn't have made a lot of difference anyway.
