Let me ask you this, would you trade Bolton and Camporeale for Judd? But no you wouldn't, because it's two players instead of one.

Only clowns without any understanding of caponomics would jump into this trade blindly. The only way I would trade two up and coming midfielders for Judd is if my team had other good midfielders, were a realistic chance of a flag that year and had the salary cap space to accommodate Judd.

From a WCE point of view they would defienently take it.
From a Carlton point of view, with the lack of up and coming a-grade mids murph and gibbs are reeeeally important players.

The hypothetical makes the offer pretty attractive...I mean if Judd wanted to move and there was no chance of keeping him here, you wouldn't find many better offers than that (even if Murphy and Gibbs turn out to be half the players Judd is it will still be better than having him go for free in the PSD).

P.S. Carlton supporters - as an aside, do you think Gibbs is likely to play alot this weekend? Not that I care for my Dream Team or anything

There is no way that Carlton would even offer 1 of the two to the Eagles.

don't worry, I'm not suggesting that Carlton would consider making that offer, I'm purely speaking from west coast's perspective although I think it might be a bit over the top saying they wouldn't offer even one.
I know there's a certain attraction to having players spend their whole career at your club, but in terms of pure value to the team, the fact that judd is proven must be worth more than the few years more that those two have left in their careers

Only player id swap for Chris Judd is Mitch Brown but Mitch Brown plays for Eagles so you will have to trade with the club to get Mitch Brown then give us back Mitch Brown for Chris Judd for it to work

You know the Eagles drafted a better player than Mitch Brown you know.

Stop reading the papers like its gospel. The way their going, Mitch is the next Pavlich or something.
