our tanking... you obviously do pay much attention to the game do you... i think you will find that Richmond's coach confessed to tanking... we appointed a new coach who thought "well the year is shot lets check out the youngsters"...

result, Hampson is now shining, Jamison looks very promising, Asaike almost made his debut (injury ruined things) etc etc.
 
Great to hear Judd participating in training. Luke Ball has participated in training with the same injury for three years, but has been pretty ineffective on the field because of it.

Seeing Judd last season with that injury was very sad. Like Ball, he had lost all of his leg drive, pace, and depth in kicking.

Judd may well be fit for R1 as Ball has been over the past few years, how effective he will be is the question. These injuries are not fixed overnight and can take more than a preseason to fix. Mabye if he is still hampered by the injury and the interruped preseason in 2008 he may come good in 2009.

Hope like hell he doesn't break down. Hate seeing that in any player. Only ghouls like SurreyBlue delight in players breaking down, and we all know who he supports.

Yes but Ball has OP.. and an abductor problem..

The abductor problem is fixably the degeeration of bone and muscle in the groin area is a different kettle of fish eh???

Hope he comes good..... just so it isnt too hurtful for StKilda supporters to have chosen him before Judd.... cos right now it must sting eh???:)

Been a bit of BF tradition to see you off after about R4 and then back again once you have another No.1 pick to add to your 8 or ten you have had recently.

It would sting a whole lot more if my club was dishonest.:eek: and suffered years at the bottom as a penance, no matter how many years my club spent there at least I can say I don't follow cheats.

Oh how fondly I remember back in october, how quickly Brian Waldron backtracked when admitting to KB about tanking in 2000, then changing his story that they were just shit amidst a sea of angry talkback callers. God it made my day :)

Don't worry about me embarrassing myself - I do it a lot so I have a very high tolerance.

I don't need to rationalise why I'm no good compared to Judd. I only have to watch him play footy and the reason why he is a superior being to me becomes abundantly clear.

But you don't know me very well (obviously) if you think I'm trying to bring him down to make myself feel better. Any failing (or success) I have in life is solely down to me and I'm not insecure enough to try cut tall poppies down to make myself feel better.

I've always liked Judd (doubly since he walked out on the evil ones) and I never said he was handed life on a platter. But if you seriously think these business opportunities haven't been handed to him on a platter because of his footy profile then you are living in dreamland.

Sure he's done well to take advantage of the perks AFL football have handed him. And that might make him a lot more switched on than your average AFL player. But in itself it doesn't make him some kind of corporate prodigy.

Waldron said that the Saints were so bad that they didn't have to tank.
Said that they did similarly to what the pies did a few years back (got all their injured players fixed early and played the kids).
He called Carlton cheaters and tankers. Later apologised for calling them cheaters but did not retract on tankers part.

I guess that's all that would make your day lately :)
