It doesn't seem possible for something to be funny AND sad at the same time........but that is how i would feel if this turns out to be true

Carlton believes it won the battle for Judd over Collingwood because it was able to sell an on and off-field package that appealed to a man who has never sought the huge profile he has nevertheless created.
This part is brilliant! He loves to play the media-shy boy, and make everyone think he's Mr. Modesty, but it couldn't be further from the truth.
He loves it at Carlton, because he knows they have no one that gets close to him, so all the talk is about him. Just reading that article, and looking at his body language over the last 5 months or so, I think it's safe to say his greatness ends when he steps off the footy field, because he seems like an arrogant tosser.

I love this hypocrisy from sportstars et al.
"Oooh, I hate the media. Just to prove it, I'm going to create a couple of week long media circus where I play all the big Melbourne clubs off against each other to see who can get their tongue the furthest up my bum.
"And to further prove how much I hate the spotlight, my missus is going to sign up as the face of the Spring Carnival and Myer. Because we hate the spotlight down at Casa Del Judd. Hate it I tell you."
Some of you are overreacting. He's got a little over a month to put such niggles behind him. Some of you, by my estimation, are simply hoping to have him unfit and injured purely out of spite.
There is always the potential to injure or reinjure when playing contact sports anyway, so this "may never play again" quip is an over exaggeration.
The Herald-Sun article actually states he is in no hurry to fast-track friendships. Nothing unusual about that. I am exactly the same. He has his own group of friends, one of whom, Steven Greene, is a business partner. Matthew Kruezer stated in a recent interview that Judd was one of the first Carlton people to shake his hand & welcome him to the club, which tends to disprove your interpretation of that particular part of the article that, by the way, was not a quote from Judd.

Well said. Judd has really sucked in the footy public, but some of us haven't been so easily fooled. The guy has dollar signs in his eyes and uses the media beautifully.
Didn't you?Harsh - but may be fair. I wonder if he would be viewed a bit differently round here if he'd abandoned a vic club while captain. I know I never liked Colbert after walking out on the Cats.
Despite the political turmoil in The Chad's country, Chad, The Chad has come out of asylum to post on this matter.
Point one from The Chad:
If Judd barely takes the field for Carlton and the worst is realised and he does have to retire, it is a genuine tragedy for football.
Point two from The Chad:
If the above is realised, will Carlton fans squeal hideously like Brayshaw and Kangaroos Football Club supporters did about Hay? Of course not. So with all the 'hatred' of Carlton fans going on around here it makes no sense - Blues fans handle themselves with a lot more class than the Haystack Squealers.
Point three from The Chad:
If Judd made his intentions to West Coast clear at an early stage, did they have any part in this botching of his rehabilitation in order to make him damaged goods? Josh Kennedy for a crock looks like a mighty good trade. Who decided Judd to go SYDNEY (of all places??) for the surgery. Did he have the same surgeon has Harry Kewell? (kewell flew to australia to treat a groin injury). Why did they go the patch-up job...we all know they went the patch-up on Cousins' hamstring as well. There is no doubt in The Chad's mind that West Coast had a role in his poor treatment in order to lessen his trade value as they knew Judd was already on his way out.
Anyway, the president is fleeing and so is The Chad.
PEACE to all.

Any shred of credibility The Chad had vaporised into the ether at that precise point.Despite the political turmoil in The Chad's country, Chad, The Chad has come out of asylum to post on this matter.

So we've given Carlton a nice, shiny toy but didn't tell them that we had broken it first? Not a very nice thing to do.
