TBH, I don't think the current jumper is bad as the past few pages would have you believe. I wouldn't call it perfect though, perhaps some dark red hoops could look good on there, but at the end of the day what GC supporters want is what matters.

Sorry to burst your bubble- it kind of isn't. It lacks creativity.

I think the shape of the logo on the front puts the whole jumper out of whack! We've seen previously that a more circular logo looks a lot cleaner.



In my opinion they should embrace the side panels and make them larger a bit like East Fremantle in the WAFL.



There's also no contrast with their colours. It's too stock standard and way too bright to work together. They should stick with the yellow and red combo, but darken the red to a crimson/cardinal/blood etc. Dial the blue right back to a cyan and use it just for trim.

This logo previously posted would look mint with a dark red monogram.

I reckon they'd be better served going in the direction of all blue or all red.

Much better. Maybe make the logo a tad smaller and the side panels a tad larger and it's a winner IMO.

Why wouldn't GOLD! Be their most prominent colour??? Not goudy yellow but the colour of the Gold Coast sand under the brilliant sun. With a bit of blue and what ever else they want to use. They are also called the SUNS and the colour of the sun is also GOLD!!

Because they've been in said sun too long and think that it's red.

If they moved away from the bright red and yellow, to a darker red, and gold (except in games against Brisbane) with a re-designed logo, like the ones above, this would be the right move.

Very rough design, I know, but it focuses more on the 'Gold' of the Gold Coast, and wouldn't clash with the Lions at all.

I think the darker red and yellow really works, but the white is what makes it pop. When you've seen mock ups or merch with these colours, the club seems a little more cohesive in its colours... unfortunately the blue is just way too token. The other thing blue does is rob us of a white, red, and gold clash jumper – and I think those colours, in that order, would balance perfectly and result in a cracking little jumper.

I'm not really sold on the monogram either idea. I just don't think it works, and it looks a little patronising and token. I also think most designs using a monogram as the focal image end up defaulting into the 'chevron or side panels and that it's' look.

I personally like the idea of using the sun rays in a watermark and invigorating them into stripes or a yoke. That can then be easily transferred to yellow, white, blue, or bright green versions for away, clash, and training tops.

Personally feel the red on GC's jumper is horrible.

A 'wine and gold' feel similar to the Cleveland Cavaliers would be much more attractive. I get that they were trying to recreate the look of a Lifesaver/surf rescue but it just reminds me too much of McDonalds. Cheap, immediate regret afterwards.

Might be too close in colour to the Lions' maroon, but a burgundy and gold combo would be a winner.

Now... to do something about the already dated logo on the front...

Thanks Harry (and Dylan too). What are you thinking for the blue jumper? The blue GC currently use, a sky blue that people have been talking about or GC's current clash?
