To me these look a bit too much like training guernseys, as does their current clash.
The "yoke" of the other major colour and the G in white I think fixed that.
EG Charcoal yoke, orange body, orange back, charcoal shorts. Can wear orange shorts away, and make one with orange yoke, charcoal body, back, shorts, as a clash against Hawthorn.

They're not great but they're no more a training jumper than any other club jumper. The shorts all keep with current conventions (ie. white away).

I've grown used to the current Giants kit but I saw an image recently of GWS player in a Canberra jumper that was cutoff at the stomach to make it look like the orange jumper above. I thought I'd go with it and see how a redesign would look on this basis. I can definitely see a charcoal jumper in the Giants' future. Its too good not to use.

I don't agree with dulling the colours for a club based on the Gold Coast called the Suns, but that logo is easily the best Suns concept logo I've seen.

The deeper red is fine but I'd be pairing it with a more vibrant yellow. The tie in with surf lifesaving is important.

When the club first started, before they had even joined the AFL and they had a life guard as a mascot, when they had Guards and Ironmen as potential nicknames it looked like the tie in with surf lifesaving would be important but since they joined the AFL it's seemed fairly irrelevant.
They did almost release a life saving clash jumper but it only ever got to the prototype stage.

That jumper is decent, would like to see a home version of that.

To me white works a lot better with those colours than the blue GC are currently using.

I actually like the GWS home jumper. The Giants brand just keeps on growing. I hope they don't change the home jumper.

It's evident people like and recognise the Giants brand. For example local teams rebranding to Giants inspired jumpers eg: Geelong West Giants and Korrumburra-Bena Giants (just off the top of my head). You don't see teams rebranding to Maccas chip packets and calling themselves ''Suns''

Personally I believe the Giants strip is a good looking jumper.

I agree. The dare to be different philosophy is growing into an identifiable brand. If Carlton entered the comp today they would be mocked mercilessly for being bland and uninspiring. We might post mockups of things we would like to see but at the end of the day it's about brand recognition and the Giants have that.

I think that GC needs a new look. I've taken a bit of inspiration from LeeARM and Grandsun with the design and colors. Tell me what you think

What's the Lynton design that is drawn from? I thought he didn't do any GC jumpers because the current ones are fine.

I stumbled across it in the GC rebranding thread. From memory I think it was originally for an AFLX design, which I then used for my rebrand

So did I, looks so bloody similar to the one I designed a few months prior.

Yep. The logo isn't recent either. It was a pretty solid team effort last year that seems to have a consensus as being better than what GC are currently using.

As for feedback, that shade of gold doesn't work with red. It goes fine with the black though.

I just found it funny that he planned to enter this into a comp that I was going to run, and he thought I'd allow it dispite my stance on these sort of issues in the past.
