Okay, I've figured out what the home guernsey will be.

My GC Kangaroos design with a monogram I made for Gold City over on the SFA board. The yoke feels a bit too close to the Lions, particularly with a yellow monogram on red, but the rising sun design just works imo.

I did try that, but it felt off with the white collar and cuffs. Besides, I actually quite like the use of blue as a clash colour.

Going back to this design I did last year with a couple of fixes.

There's some great designs/ideas for Gold Coast in this thread but this design is by far my favourite. The only changes I'd make would be remove the logo and perhaps lower the red a little.

Simple but unique. Perfect footy jumper. Awesome job!

So using AFL Evolution as my template...

El_Scorcho once had this great idea that Port should have entered the AFL with black and charcoal prison bars. Loophole to avoid the black/white stripes rule. It enforces the prison bars as Port's identity and no matter what colour the guernsey winds up being, as long as it has the PB then it is Port Adelaide.

So here we are. It's probably a touch too dark and the number panel is hard to see at night (or in shadows) but I love it.

Now here's the inverse.

Regular old prison bars.

Regular old prison bars with white shorts but also with white sleeves to maximise contrast.

If it was moderened up, that would definitely have Geelong size hoops.

Well, I sorta mean "moderned-up" as in fitting on a current template, with no lace-up. Would be good if it could retain the hoop thickness of the original.

If the PB's were a bit thinner, maybe the AFL would consider the guernsey but it would HAVE to incorporate teal somewhere. Maybe a line of teal above the horizontal bar? It would actually look sick if Port's teal was gold. Then the PB's could be gold on an all-black guernsey. Like the New Orleans Saints in the NFL. Anyways...
