Not sure if I've misread, but that would be a pretty close-minded view if you wouldn't have them at the Eagles because they supported the current president of a country we don't even live in.
Isn't The Cheesecake 's post just essentially the "keep politics out of footy" argument that right wingers throw up constantly whenever we have a indigenous round/multicultural round/pride game/two players shaking hands in the middle of the ground before a game etc?

Wrong guy. The Cheesecake posted it. And I would have no clue! If that's the angle he was going for, then fair enough.

My mistake, there are too many Shuey avatars on here! :D

But yeah, I just think that the argument that I posted needs to go both ways if someone thinks it should be a thing at all. Personally I think there is a line, but certain sponsors with a political leaning getting on board clubs or prominent TV personalities showing up to an AFL rules briefing are fine. If people don't like a decision they don't have to support it by buying a new guernsey or purchasing tickets.

I don't think it's remotely closed minded at all, they (UA) got themselves involved with politics by taking a stance and as a result I personally would not want them at the club I support. I fail to see why that would be unreasonable. It's not all about jumper templates.

It's not like we don't hold a stake in who the leader of the world's hegemonic power is.

i dont know why carlton go for a full invert of their kit - im surprised they havent tried to find the absolute minimum amount of white they can without going away from their home kit.

I've made a quick mockup of Something they should look at - there should be enough white in there to make it not clash with anyone, yet still maintain the navy with white monogram (although bigger to add more white)

I like the inverse, I think it's the best possible outcome. While the colour is important to Carlton's identity and their fans, the beauty of their jumper is in its simplicity. The full inverse is the only way to maintain the strength of that simplicity.

Half baked alternatives won't ever cater to people who only want the home strip worn at all times.

Ok but don’t like the blue cuffs and V thing you have going on. Brisbanes design is wide stripes.
Brisbane have a million options anyway that are good enough.

The Maroon V is a callback to the bears Guernsey, I tried to make it similar to this years Lions AFLW away jumper. I prefer that over the mens gold/maroon jumper since the white looks cleaner and makes the maroon stand out more. Are these any better?

on that first one maybe try push the two coloured stripes together so there's so white between them, and reside either the stripes or the lion so that the stripes cover the background of the entire lion?

Second one is great, would love to see a yellow lion. The first was is alright too but a bit to similar to the Bulldogs.

Carlton clash concept. I feel this would work well for every clash except Collingwood and Port Adelaide where a third kit would be needed.

I would buy the living shit out of that.

I tried something similar a little while ago but with baby blue instead of navy. Aptly named 'Carlton Blackburn Design'. I thought I did a quartered design, but apparently not!
