I've taken a leaf from Melbourne's book. Surely this colourway would be more effective than either the yellow or red editions?

I want Carlton to do something like this, if they don't want to use sky blue, royal blue still gives it a traditional feel but also solves clashes. They might be more inclined to wear it than the generic white.

(Shorts should be white but you get the idea)
At the very least use the royal blue as a training kit first to get a feel for it and how the supporters respond to it. Personally think it looks class, just know though that some traditionalist will harp on about it not being authentic

Yeah but white isn't authentic either. Unfortunately for those people, we live in the 21st century.

Port Adelaide's AFLW team

Port has a history. Even though the AFLW side is a new venture, we "accept the heritage which players and administrators have passed down to us." In the same way that our AFL side is connected to the club's past as a symbol that we "shall strive with all our POWER to further this club's unexcelled achievement," the AFLW team needs to have a link to our history.

Why not then call it the Port Adelaide Magentas and having magenta and blue as its secondary colours (black and white being the primary ones, of course)?

"Magentas" not only is a Port's past monicker, but it also has the advantage of sharing the same starting syllable with the "Magpies." This would allow, for instance, the girls to be known as the "Maggies" – if that is something our supporters wish to do.

The first version had a different shade, but I decided to use the same in both jumpers.

Besides, I use Paintbrush. I am neither talented nor experienced. The point was to give a general idea. I thought it was ok...

It's fine. As a design, it works. Given the argument over teal and prison bars, I'm not a fan.

EDIT: To clarify, I'm a big fan of pink in general especially for Port. The above portrayal was for AFLM - I did not read Gremio's post - but I'm sure it'd be great in any league.

Adding pink to an AFLW uniform “cos girls” is so, so bad (take note Fremantle). I get that Port historically used magenta, but its not part of their brand now and bringing it back would be the wrong step IMO.

Do you reckon Eddie would complain if we wore the Prison Bars in AFLW or an upcoming AFL reserves comp?
