What I would like Hawks kit to be

  • Take away three stripes on the back (Keep the gold back like they had in their prime 80s)
  • Bring back striped socks
  • Take away the brown back for sponsor, make it black so it does not look like a H

They won 76, 78, 83, 86, 88, 89 and 91 with the gold back, three with the white panel (not suited today), and 3 with the stripes on back.
I actually think the jumper looks better with the stripes on the bottom of the jumper. The gold back is too much like a canary.

They already wear striped socks, and have since 1998 (after the gold socks of 1989-1997).

I am sure the sponsor logo is on a brown background to intentionally form a "H". I think it looks better than a black background.

It would be interesting to hear what Hawthorn supporters want and whether they're happy with the current design.

Don’t mind the current jumper except the shoulder panels, rather them either cut off or extend to just above the kfc logo. Also wish the kfc sponsor was a bit smaller - no need for it to be that big

As for the Tassie logo, we used a black box on the indigenous jumper in 23’ which looked very tacky. Definitely think the brown looks better

Also wasn’t a fan of the logo beneath the tassie sponsor at first but it’s slightly grown on me, especially after Ginni’s celebration v Collingwood

This one I just designed for my own use on a portfolio I made years back, essentially just the current logo but stripped back a bit. I have no knowledge of such a logo but it intrigues me now.

It sounds like bullshit, but a friend had access to a copyright website and was showing me. as I said, the probably am misremembering a bit but it was really close to this. it was basically a flatter, simpler, almost more bright and less serious version of the current logo.

Would love to know if anyone knows what this website is. as I said, it apparently costs thousands of dollars to access. he had it through a client at work iirc. it wasn't even his log in.

I'm also wrong. it wasn't the latest A-Leagues rebrand by R/GA but the Hulsbosch one about ten years ago. this is the one I'm talking about (on right).

My predictions/want for our uniforms in 2025. Would love to see a 3rd red kit based on the 1898-1900 jumper but doesn't fit with the 100 years in the V/AFL theme. Hope Asics come up with a better collar given they change it every two years.

Bulldogs guernseys look 100x better with the collar matching the rest of the guernsey.

I've read reviews AFL23 is bad. What's your opinion? How does it compare to Evolution?
It's not very good honestly. In some aspects it's better than AFL Evolution and in other aspects it's regressed.

The gameplay feels stiff and slow and there's no time progression and dynamic lighting changes during games like Evolution had. Which ruins the immersion when playing afternoon and twilight games.

But the guernsey editor, logo and stadium creator are good. Wish there was an option when playing a season to customize the fixture and play finals without playing through an entire season.

I had AFL98 as a kid, the 3d logos of the teams was my favourite part

Thanks for the review 👍 I know they're different game developers. Wicked Witch was Evolution. Big Ant AFL23.

Posting this here to show the guernsey creator to anyone who is interested.

Are the templates controlled, or could you make a jumper with a giant doodle, or a booger splat?

Asking for a friend...
You get patterns to choose from and you can add your logo on top. If you have the PC version, you can upload svg files with the logo creator. Otherwise, you can still download logos that oPC users have uploaded.
