In the interest of footy and watching a unique player, getting him on your rookie list would be a great thing and low risk to you guys.
I'm glad my club has clear water now and can move on knowing that we gave him a good platform into AFL but I wish him the best on & off the field and to you guys if you rookie him. A lot of people have helped him on his journey from the early days, it would be a shame not to see him play at AFL level again.

We can draft delisted guys as delisted free agents onto main list... i wonder if the same can be done with delisted free agents onto the rookie list?

Game day availabilty might be a problem. At least he will have a club picking up his medical bills though. Top pick up. I cant see a problem with me getting used to that.
That would be one of the most potentially potential forward Lines getting around. Can't help but to think, Daniel Motlop as forwards coach

Nah - one occurs via the draft, Rookie draft, the pother would happen in the RFA window. I know we can pick him up in rookie draft, was just wondering if we can just pick him as a RFA and stick him on the rookie list.
I feel sick at the thought of Jurrah being at Port Adelaide. This can't happen!

I see what you mean. You used the word, "draft" and that put me off.
We can't pick him up as an RFA, because he doesn't qualify as one (not enough service). If we are going to pick him up, it's through a draft.
Now all we need are some midfielders and running defenders to actually get the ball to them...
and then what happens if he suddenly goes back to the NT, or gets homesick or whatever, and we lose a 2/3 goal a game player?

Any player delisted can be selected in the Delisted Free Agent Periods which occur down the track.
Is this the PSD? Why would the AFL need a fourth draft?

Look at it this way. I'd rather have an imprisoned Liam Jurrah on our list than a free Tom Logan, Daniel Stewart or Matt Thomas.
No maximum, but they can only be upgraded to the main list to replace an LTI (although there are some new rules that have been brought in after GC/GWS came in which amend that rule in some way I can't quite remember).
