Just who will be the next AFL player to be given an MCG statue?

The 90's was the golden era of footy and deserves a rep.

Wouldn't mind seeing one of Lockett, Ablett, Silvagni or Carey.

Leaning towards Ablett, purely because of some of the finals games he was involved in at the ground.

"Jesaulenko, you beauty!"

Seriously, that would be great to see. They've got something similar outside the Fremantle Oval main gate:

My 82yo old man, who is a mad Carlton supporter but a very astute football judge, has always said that John Coleman is easily the best footballer he has seen.

Your dad is obviously an exceptional man, because these 2 don't usually go together.

John Bourke but not when he knocked over the umpire.
When he jumped the fence & belted the spectator.

OR

A life size version of St Kildas infamous "animal cage". Supporters shouldn't be forgotten.

anyone of these blokes be fine :thumbsu:

(P.S. Ablett's noggin looks farkin huge!)
Great photo.
Golden era of footy that will never be forgotten.

I would have these four along with Lethal if he aint there already.

Wonder how many defenders out there would look at this photo and tear up from all the trauma.

Coleman already has one in Hastings

I guess this would make him the first Australian footballer of any code to have two statues(?)

Carey 1, Ablett 2.
But I dunno, there's only so many footballers you can have.
Or, thinking laterally, Ablett and Steven Silvagni wrapped around him like an octopus on a jam jar?
