When on the recording did this happen? I didn’t hear it. And I’ve now looked for it.

It was there. A small mistake and no big deal, but he did stumble over the club name while reading his pre-prepared statement. Once that was done and he was fielding questions he seemed a lot better.

Thank you, and apologies to PurpleReign
Yep it was there about 2 1/2 minutes in. Just the first half syllable of West.

didnt see this - yeah a touch awkward.

Looking forward to how he develops now. Hoping he is the first 4 in a row flag winning coach of the modern era.

Agree with others that the sacking with a week to go looks more and more strange bit am hoping the CEO search goes well.

From his presser...
“To the fans, the overriding feeling that you gave me as a player is of how passionate you are, that’s the one word that resonates with me when I think of the Wes... when I think of the Fremantle football club...”
How ******* embarrassing. I hope he’s better at coaching than speeching.
Oh no! & here I was thinking he was a robot!

Ross was always gone, it was just when and the how, either 2019, 2020-21, I would suggest that not fixing the
S&C, forward line was his own demise. Just losing two players that play on the wing I don't see why that would
anchor us to the bottom?
Brisbane have had more players leave, the reality is that the off field drive, team, are just as important as magic
first round picks.

Ross admitted they wouldn't renew his contract beyond 2020. There is no point in waiting a year when potential head coaches can be head hunted by other clubs. Freo needed to move and did so.

As for players leaving that has nothing to do with Longmuir and he will be hopefully part of the solution not the problem.

Now that I've slept on it, I'm even more excited for next season and beyond.

I found the presser subdued and underwhelming, lacked vigour and excitement.
I have heard zilch from Fyfe and the players commenting on the appointment.
It's just been a dull exercise little enthusiasm from anyone really.

Brad? Brad Hardie is that you?

Please. What did you expect a parade? It didn’t have the excitement of the Lyon appointment because it was totally unexpected. Sometimes identifying the best person and getting them leaves you wondering who else? But the reality is the unknowns are generally crap.

I reckon there would be a lot of excited people around that got on the $7

JLo at his first meeting with the players. Casually walks over to remote. Clicks play. Scenes of his towering mark, shot on goal and celebrations after.
States ‘This is Fremantle’.

Walks out.
Being behind at the final siren is pretty Fremantle after all.

Cheerleaders, fireworks and Longmuir descending into the press conference via a rope dangling from a solid gold helicopter would’ve sold me

All thar aside but what do you think of the appointment? Did you want someone else?

Didn't want Sumich but apart from that didn't really care.
The thought of Clarkson was exciting but the rest of the possibles bland .
Nothing against Longmuir and I hope he is our saviour but the whole exercise has been downbeat, boring. The 4 minute interview on SEN was meh. Can't find genuine excitement from anyone.

You don't agree with me, fair enough but no need to insult me with the unoriginal Hardie reference.

I'll take a change in game plan, execution and the majority candidate over enthusiasm at a press conference every day. Turn this on it's head and your lacking enthusiasm as well ;)

At the minute all we have to go on is the presser. Spin it how ever the way you want but in my eyes it was underwhelming.
Think I,'ll wait until I see the outcome of the game plan before I go overboard with excitement.

GWS has used 33 first round picks so far in the eight drafts they have been in, excluding the players they got outside of the draft in Treloar, Cameron, Shiel etc and the players they grabbed from other teams in Ward, Davis etc

Fremantle has used 25 first round picks in the entire lifetime of the club.

Richmond 1st round picks playing:
Vlastuin, Ellis, Prestia, Caddy, Rioli, Cotchin, Lynch, Reiwodlt, Martin

GWS 1st round picks playing:
Haynes, Davis, Corr, Hopper, Kelly, Whitfield, Green, Himmelberg, Tarranto, Tomlinson, Perryman (Not including Jeremy Cameron or Adam Kennedy who were prelisted)

So that line about the same number of first round picks on the field is not true.

Bolded parts actually messing with my melon and now that Gold Coast have been given another ****en leg-up right while were bottoming out, it's got extra sting that of Richmond's tally above, Prestia, Caddy and Lynch were all Gold Coast first round picks.

Taylor !!

No need to let the facts get in the way of a good story ;)
