I think no matter what you think of how we handled the Clarko transition and the Egan report, the best CEOs in the business have a way of managing these giant minefields with a steady hand, whilst controlling the narrative in the public realm.

This hasn't been the case the last couple of years.

I wish him all the best and am grateful for the good things he brought to the club, but it's the right time for a fresh face.

From what I’m told he actually did care a lot about creating cultural change and what not. I feel like he’s been unfairly getting a bad wrap and that may have contributed to this.

Was a good appointment at the time - apparently well regarded at Geelong and they were miffed that we had poached him. Doesn't seem to have worked out the way everyone would have hoped. Let us hope the standing aside means we have a very capable candidate waiting in the wings.

Covid has left alot of people drained, staff reduced, increased work loads and they where pushing through it.

Then the Clarko / Fagan / Burt racisim saga unfolded and based on limited info it looks like Clarko and Fagan are innocent.

An at the very lest the trio deserves to be heard, an alot of AFL employees have gone this could easily be us being accused. Which may have pushed a few away from the game.

I am glad the AFL calls out racisim at the games, but i wish they would stay away from the policitcal side of things, apart from SPORTS.

Reeves was pillar, losing Clarkson and the racism probe for how little off field stuff has came our he was pulling his weight and then some.

I don’t think it has anything to do with it. He was Kennet’s man and when Jeff was booted then he had to go too. The new board is cleaning house.

I just never warmed to Reeves. Was surprised when he was given the 5 year contract extension recently.
