He'd look a lot better if on one of his runs he got to the forward 50 and he actually had someone to kick to.

He'd also look a lot better if on one of his runs he actually managed to pick up the ****ing ball instead of fumbling it six times while flailing around like somebody electrocuted an octopus.

True but at least he won't deviate off it. I've been no fan I think he's been passable since coming back into the team, he needs to now hopefully put his good quarter each game into 2 or 3 in these final five games. I'm not willing to drop anyone who is clearly trying at the moment and going to actually hit a 50/50 ball no matter what regardless if he wins it at least he wont shirk it.

well that settles the case on Westhoff I'd say

Trade, delist, with his scrawnier brother

westhoff is like Stewart. Refusal to add mass is all we need to know about his "attitude"

Based on that "mass" you always talk about, Carlile and Chaplin would be world leaders in their attitude

could explain why they are always lying flat on the ground while their opponent dashes off into the distance into an empty goal

One question gopower, do you actually watch Pettigrew play, or do you start screaming at the roof as soon as you see him, and by the time you actually look back the ball isn't near him anymore.

His run out of defence last week was brilliant, if you want to criticise him on that, you are being silly sir.

Also b0ydman, how about you go and tell Justin how he can suddenly add 10 kilos to that tiny frame of his. I'm sure he will thank you for your black magic.

What I saw of Pettigrew's run from defence. The one that stood out was him hitting a Collingwood kick at full pace and breaking into space. Screamed forward flanker breaking into an open forward line to me... Too bad he was in defence.

Maybe you're right and its me that's mentally scarred. Every time I see Petters with the ball in the clear I'm expecting him to be run down. It's unreasonable I know, imagine how it must be for him, gopower howling from the sidelines and everyone else covering their eyes.

It's time we tried something different, but seriously if we chucked him up forward and he clunked a few against the Dawks, Essendon & Melbourne's defences (ie 3 out of 4, let me give the Doggies defence some credit) what would it prove apart from the same thing Stewart's late season form proved last year ? Stewart at least has youth & size on his side if not physicality.

The "something different" ought to be Butcher & Redden first, before even Salter let alone Petters up front.

Westy shouldnt have played the plast 2 weeks. His toe is absolutely screwed and he is being jabbed at almost every break just so he can run.

Wouldve almost been leaidng our bnf before the injury as well.

Makes Chads early retirment seem all the more ridiculous really.

The only comparison to make for this relatively rare injury is Sandilands. Look how he is travelling.

From here http://sportsmedicine.about.com/od/footandankleinjuries/a/TurfToe.htm
What Is Turf Toe
"Turf toe is an painful injury to the base of the big toe that typically occurs in athletes who play field sports, such as football, baseball or soccer. Turf toe describes an injury to the joint at the base of the big toe when an athlete forcefully jams his toe into the ground or bends his toe backward, beyond its normal limits. The injury often occurs on a grass or artificial turf playing field which is why the name "turf toe" was adopted."

...
Common Causes of Turf Toe Injuries
Turf toe is especially common in athletes who play field sports and even more common in those who play on artificial turf.

...

When Can You Return to Sports After Turf Toe
It can take a long time for turf toe to heal completely, and athletes should expect to take a break from field sports for at least three weeks while the joint capsule heals. Athletes who return too soon or play through pain are often sidelined even longer in the future.

Ice him for the season, bring in Webb/Redden/Bass (Butcher isn't in that list because I'm assuming he is coming in for Chad this week :thumbsu:)
