Also as well surely donny is aware that if he puts tariffs on goods coming into the country the country's where them goods come from will put tariffs on US goods entering that country, or hasn't donny thought about that?
I’m positive Trump knows all about cause and effect being the star student at Wharton he was, just ask his professor

The only one of these groups which voted in majority for Trump is white women, who voted 51% Trump, 49% against.

Hispanics, blacks, asians and Jews all voted in majority for Harris.

White men voted 57% for Trump.

the piece didn’t reference a majority. as I saw it, the point was those groups did not vote for harris in anything like in the numbers expected. there are demographics where biden did better in 2020 than harris.

Yes, but it can be misleading saying Black men voted for Trump, when it was 75-25 instead of the usual 85-15. Trump won less than 10% of Black women.

I love how you think this is somehow offending me.
i like how you miss the point, again. oh, and have lost your sense of humour. sad.
That makes no sense.
you are all over the place, even after the mod set you straight. perhaps you're still high over your rapist, fraudster, mentally challenged, rambling m8 had a victory.

there was no mention of a majority. the two take home points were those groups did not vote for harris in anything like the numbers expected for harris to get over the line and those were the groups who had the most to lose.

btw. trump did make gains in black votes particularly in "battleground states like north carolina and georgia where his share of the black vote rose by 5 percentage points over 2020 levels"

Sounds like you're stiilll high on copium.

By posting that video, are you implying that he is gay, as a form of insult?

I'm not implying anything - I'm saying loud and clear that this guy was a swing and a miss.

Did he think he was going to get the support of women with his aborted babies amendment? The support of
families with his child gender policy? The support of black alpha males with his prancing antics? The support of veterans with his stolen valour claims and inability to load a hunting rifle? I could go on ...

Kommola never had a realistic shot with her long list of weaknesses (vacuous delivery chief amongst them) but her decision to pick this buffoon as her running mate well and truly sealed her fate.

That’s not what I asked.

What was the point of that video?

Alpha males. Stolen valour.

We've got a hardnut here folks.

To illustrate his many flaws.

So let me ask you - do you think a guy that prances around like that is going to attract the black male vote? Does a guy like that scream "VP" to you?

I reckon the voters of the US know the answer to that one.
Worked for Trump, didn't it?

Don’t be naive, you posted a video of him set to Dancing Queen, where a ton of the comments are calling him gay.

Are you saying black men won’t vote for a gay or effeminate man? That black men are homophobic?

That a gay or effeminate man doesn’t “scream VP” to you?

What I think is largely irrelevant, as I am not entitled to vote in a US election.

But based on my observations, this was probably not going to attract the vote of a fairly substantial demographic in battleground states. The Dems failed to read the tea leaves. And the results seem to confirm that assessment.

I trust that clears things up for you.

That doesn’t clear anything up because I asked you a number of yes/no questions, which you completely ignored.

You told me that you think is irrelevant and then proceeded to tell me what you think.

When you say “this was probably not going to attract the vote of a fairly substantial demographic”, what do you mean by “this?”

The current Democrat party uses identity politics to whip up fear and then cheers getting support from war hawks like Dick Cheney.
If you honestly believe that the Democrats seek to use fear as their primary motivator, then you're not paying attention. They rightly point out that Republicans target certain minorities in an attempt to stoke distrust, anger and to create a scapegoat for the problems that people face, rather than put the blowtorch on the real "enemy within". i.e. corporate greed, parasitic special interest groups and lobbyists, and the politicians (on both sides, including Trump) that want wealth to continue flowing upwards.

Cheney did not support the Dems because of his hawkish tendencies. Trump is not an anti-war figure, certainly no more of a pacifist than Harris and has boasted of his plans to build up the military further. He endorsed Harris, because despite being a largely morally bankrupt man, he at least prefers maintaining whatever flawed democracy still exists. That and Trump went after his daughter, who rightly railed against Trump's authoritarian behaviour.

Higher energy production = lower energy prices = lower production costs = lower inflation = more jobs = more manufacturing.

Reduced regulation allows US manufacturing to compete with China which has zero regulation.
The US is already at record levels of energy/fuel production.

The US is already seeing a manufacturing rebound, in investment, and with more Americans employed in manufacturing now, than at any point in Trump's 1st term. The legislative achievements of Biden/Harris, Democrats and some Republicans, will only improve on this in the medium and longer term.

The US has already seen inflation fall, close to the target rate, after a global rise.

Jobs have rebounded strongly after Covid, with Biden/Harris achieving lower unemployment troughs than the ones Trump touted in his first term.

It also depends on which regulations we're talking about. If your aim is to just replicate or move toward China's manufacturing conditions for only economic gain and quantitative output, I would question the wisdom in that.

If it involves sacrificing worker pay, conditions and safety, restricting collective bargaining and union rights, reducing product quality assurance and standards (depending on the product), and environmental protection for the good of everyone, then I would question whose interests are served by this, because it's not necessarily the working class, the consumer or America at large (profits of ownership, management and investors maybe).

Polls have 78% of black men’s votes going for Harris.

That aside, I‘m going to suggest those listed reasons aren’t the reasons that people voted for Trump.

i’m not going over the general point of the piece again. as far as male african-american voters are concerned, trump increased his share according to exit polls.

Donald Trump’s theory of the case was broadly correct. He and his campaign managers believed that it was possible to build on Republicans’ growing strength among white working-class voters to create a multi-ethnic working-class coalition. He was right: If the exit polls turn out to be accurate, he made strides among Latinos and African Americans, especially men. He increased his share of the Black male vote from 12% to 20% and carried Hispanic men by nine points, 54% to 45%.

What hasn't been covered nearly enough is what a disaster she was in 2020. She couldn't even win one delegate. Among OTHER democrats. She was never popular within her own party, let alone to the other half of the country that they openly despise.

Timing. Biden needed to have gone long before to allow a proper primary process.

By the time he dropped out, the Dems probably would have pissed off people in their base overlooking her, and have had accessions of racism, sexism etc.

I think no matter who ran in the timeframe she did wouldn’t have won. I think Newsom, Whitmer etc think 2028 is a more realistic chance, Harris was always pushing shit up hill in hindsight.
