Seems like the north of last year...so unpredictable, wouldn't surprise me if they lost to Brisbane next week and then rattled off a few wins against port, Geelong and hawks in the weeks following. It's unlikely but wouldn't surprise.

North played like a team that belived its own hype, and thought they would simply turn out to win. We know they were wrong. I believe that the technical term to describe their play today is "rubbish". Skills and decision making were again deficient. Congratulations to Adelaide; North were so poor that it's hard to judge just how good Adelaide are, but they played exceedingly well. It wasn't the reason that we lost, but a forward line with only Petrie and Waite was always going to struggle to kick a winning score, especially when Goldie needed a chop-out. I've been concerned about Scott's game day coaching for quite some time, so it's a worry when he is outcoached by a first gamer.

The seasons certainly not a write off but the signs are there in an important year the coach can't organise his side to even turn up at an important event.

Sure, the side will walk over a lot of teams at Ethiad and stumble towards a pre lim. But unfortunately today almost confirmed the coach can't get his side up when it really matters.

In fact, I'd go close to saying Scott sabotaged the effort.

Call it ignorance to not play Wood, start Turner as sub, play Jacobs etc.

I'd almost call it a shit coach, playing selfish games to give himself room for improvement.

He can get fkd.

Massively overrated made the last 4 last season in large part to consecutive opponents shooting themselves in the foot. Shown up to a huge extent by Sydney when they met. They are nothing more than a 6-8th at best side

Haha, yes quite harsh and it was always a compromise getting a media mouth coach over a Hinkley type.

Stuck with Brad so hopefully he wakes up. Not sure having last seasons defensive coach take over the forward line was a master stroke, but maybe this shane Watson clown is all that.

FWIW, I have both making finals comfortably, but in the 5-8 group.
