just under was the figure posted on here by heraldsun some time ago, $140,000 for the year, pretty sure only one person that frequents these boards would actually know! Was a fair assumption that they were spending the most last year and they have only upped the ante this year. Anything around or above the $100,000 mark is extreme overkill (but I suppose there comes a time when if you have the money and haven't won one for a long time, you do whatever it takes), a reliable source said Nagambie budgeted for $80,000 but couldnt spend it all, as much as they tried.

Hope tomorrow is a close game with you guys really on the improve so you would think by spending 180k this year and the home ground advantage l think we may just scrape home in a nail biter

As I said, you would be the only one on here to know, so guess what? I have already said I'm not the one. As for getting involved, I believe you asked the question: "As for all that money, how much are we spending?" All I did was repeat what another poster put on here anyway, which I did in response to the 10G a week post.
By the way, I like the way your building up Gig's chances (of getting close!), 15+ goal win for mine, and thats no disrespect to Girgarre, that just has to do with how good VT are.

Who cares what Violet Town is paying. As long as your club is spending what it can afford, is doing it through the books, players declare their income and the netballers keep selling raffle tickets and (wo)man the canteen then each to their own.

Ooops, sorry, I must have been typing in my sleep. What I meant to say is that there are some long, wet, cold, injury inducing, tribunal suspending months between now and when the big one arrives. History has a funny habit of repeating.

I am involved fairly highly at my local club that i play for and if one of my commitee members or coach was on this site talking and arguing with posters about how much we were spending i wouldnt be happy! Jaxbac i really think you should concentrate on what you do at your club rather than getting caught up with the banter on this site and also im sure other posters are sick of hearing and reading the crap! By all means spend what you want but hit it on the head and stop replying to peoples post mate for the better of the site! Anyone want to back me up

No idea who you are, marco, but haven't seem you bring anything productive to the site. You continue to pot blokes & hide behind an alias..

Anyway, 270 point win by the tiges today in what is surely a record, but a shame given how tough the bushcats are doing. Really good wins by undera, Stanhope & avenel, looking forward to some match reports. Undera flying under most posters guards & Stanhope still dangerous on their day. The swans flying, also, pushed VT a bit & a good win today.

JC, can you cut out the incessant and unnecessary rambling? I no longer read your posts as they bring nothing new to the conversation. Your whining is tiresome and your solutions to your pet hate completely naive. The fact of the matter is that Longwood were accepted into the KDFL, whether you like what is happening at the rest of the clubs (who were in this league before your club were) is irrelevant.

The rest of the league shouldn't have to satisfy the lowest common denominator. For what it's worth, I think you'll find some of the guys you cheer on a Saturday are far greater culprits of undeserving money than anyone at rival clubs. So before launching into a tirade about the bane of money-grubbing district players, perhaps you should look in your own back yard first.

Anyway, onto the football...

Everyone's eyes will be on two of the league's heavyweights meeting for the first time this season. Will Lancaster be able to match the high-flying Violet Town boys?

Fair arse kicking ya gave Gig mate, Talking to a bloke today who was at the game, said your forward line will be very hard to stop , just got to many who can kick goals, and all kick 60 , also told me he was chatting to a couple of locals and they said this year or bust, and even if u do win it not sure if VT will be able to back it up in 2013 and he didn't have a clue who 80% of the players even were, any truth in that ?? And pritty sure every player in the side was on some sort of coin??

Interesting to see all this opinion on club spendings. Bottom line is, Violet Town is thriving, which can be seen by their placing on the KDFL ladder. What clubs spend is irrelevant to all those not directly involved in the club. At the end of the day, people need to mind their own business! Well done to the club for doing well this year, and remember people... extra stress causes heart attacks

Now l know you are talking crap as we don't have any locals to talk to because there are none. We bought our crowd from Melb and they each have their own little part of the ground where they are paid to stand..As for every player getting paid, thats true and don't forget we pay the waterboys, the netballers, the time keeper and even Sparra who works the outside bar. So no wonder we are broke
