You obviously never saw hoota at his best... just as tough as Burnett and minus the flying elbows, better user of the ball than Thompson and off both sides
Looks like the league may be selling out the grand final to an out of league ground again. Wondering what peoples thoughts are about this. Personally I thought last years was a bit of a dull event, but I think that may have had more to do with the game rather than location. which grounds do you think suitable. I always liked murchison. Great ground, plenty of parking... just a shame about the shit change rooms.

Could not agree more.
We, like most clubs, are working to improve our facilities. We have a plan drawn that would lift our rooms to an acceptable standard. A Hurdle we face is the fact that our precinct is on DSE land (part of the river bend) and therefore privileges that are normally afforded to clubs by their local council like mowing and grants have been difficult to access.
I would love our centrally located oval to be used in the same way as Tocumwal was by the MFL and Katunga was in the PDFL before the split as the perennial venue with KDL member clubs working together as hosts.
I have attended KDFL grand finals at Mooroopna and Tatura and whilst I love the fantastic facilities on offer, the fact that some advantage goes out of the KDFL and to the GVFL is irritating.

You would think if you come second to Pell in medal you would be classed as a not to bad of a on ball a?
Well I guess we'll let Vars do the talking on the footy field.... 1st game of footy for the year 2day & he looked like he hasn't missed a game! Couple more runs in the legs & some of the previous statements could be around the mark.... Both Vars & Riggas were great addition to the side 2day.... 
But in saying that I'll give massive amounts of credit to Richo & the Undera boys. With all their off season losses everyone thought they were guna be the easy beats, but for those who haven't played them yet they are a very hard at it side that never gives up.... Well done to them for the hard work they've put in....

interesting game at gig today with the roo boys getting the jump and leading stanhope by 6 goals at 1/4 time! stanhope ended up reeling them in like a quality side does. big edwards dominated kicking 10 or 11
Went and watched wombats play today as a resident of lancy thought it was a really good game not sure if the boys will match the top couple of sides.A little poor form on undera part not having really anyone hang around And buy a beer after the game in clubrooms might have been one bloke.I just thought it was the done thing after games things have changed nowadays

. Works both ways mate, must say I have been at my local over the years when we played Lancy and the same applies, so think about your own back yard before you can out other clubs, you don't gain the reputatation for being up yourself for nothing

As your aware I'm new to the club & league this year & from what I've seen our club has been very good at getting majority of the players to go into the oppositions clubrooms for a beverage after the game? So not sure if your "up yourself" quote is based on facts or just a jealous opinion that your club hasn't sustained the same success over a long period of time! The two can be very easily confused....

Thanks...but I really want to say, and it hurts, Ardmona (four premierships), Stanhope (four), Nagambie (three), Undera (two), Lancaster (two). All available on the KDFL website. Perhaps Lanky should have followed the Ardy or Mainland models for greater success.
