Re: Kyabram District FL

word from the horses mouth is joe Pollock had ablinder on debut for the Swans, and reckons his presence helped em to their first win in2006. He also said he wore #36 with Thorpey out, saying Fess will battle to get it back. Reckon he'll battle to getit offhis back asit woulda been fairly snug!!!

Re: Kyabram District FL

honestly whats happened to the standard in the kdfl if boonie is getting a kick?? Thorpey will have to buy a new jumper as boonie will have to cut it off to get it back!!

closer to the 450 game mark
It's a huge effort by Abley to play so many games for his club and he just keeps going and going and still seems to kick a few goals every week.

Yeh, better not quote the exact amount, but I was talking to him about it on the weekend, and it is a massive, massive amount... But given the superb physical condition that he's in, the fact that his horror run with injuries seems to be over and the mountains of possessions he's been getting for us lately, you could hardly blame them..

Re: Kyabram District FL

Would love to hear some reviews from the weekends games..

Rushy played a tight, see-sawing game against a slightly under-manned Ardmona outfit, but got over them in the end by a couple of goals, probably due to the fact that our mid-fielders rotated more and were a bit fresher in the last quarter..and I know it's a big statement so early in the year, but I reckon whoever can beat them come September will take home the flag! They had 6 senior players out against us (including their CHF, CHB and starting ruckman), and about 8 out against Yea, so if they get all them back come spring they will be a pretty formidable outfit. And the gun full-forward they have in the 2's will also be a handfull when he breaks it for a 1's game...

I see Gig put in a better display this week. Violet Town have picked up Daniel Hope, who has played senior footy with A grade Ammos, side, Marcellin, and is a smart mover. Played his first game for the Towner on the weekend and went well, by all reports..

Heard Sime Harrison and brenton Grey may be in doubt for this week's clash, but haven't heard a lot about their injuries..

Lancy keep going from strength to strength..

Re: Kyabram District FL

Didnt get to watch Yea, but I do know that they were missing 4, & Billy Neilson and Tom Butterworth shouldn't have played. I still believe the Tige's are still a long way from hitting full fitness, and as I keep saying once fully fit and with a second ruckman and tall defender (Ben Milliken) in the side they could be in the thick of it come September.

I base the fact of Yea still needing to still recruit & work hard as when you group the 6 sides who will battle out the top 5 (Lancy, Stanhope, Rushy, Yea, Ardmona & Tally) Yea can afford to drop I reckon 4-5 games tops for the year as they play them 9 times; Rushy 8; Tally, Stanhope & Ardmona 7; with Lancaster 6.

Lancaster's first match against my "top 6" is against Yea in round 7, and the Rushy the following week. Maybe I'm just analysing things too much!!!

But not as much as this did.

I only saw the first half, but it was a pretty decent contest. Ardy have a bit of work to do, but I they have some potential to go far in the finals. Rushy were quite good. They have some excellent youngsters.

Re: Kyabram District FL

I'm pretty sure each club nominates who they want to have in the inter-league squad. Once they go through 3 or 4 trainings, it's then up to the KDFL selectors to pick who they want.
Leatham would definitely be in the KDFL team if you were picking your best 22, but maybe he's unavailable
A few surprises there, though.
Rob Fisher and Liverton from Gig are spud farmers
