I dislike Ardmona as much as the next person (having played a bit of footy at Stanhope), but these continual petty comments by you ShepBoy are becomming ridiculous.

We all understand that you obviously have a deeply ingrained hatred of all things Ardmona and especially Perry (considering you can rarely post without a snide remark).

I thought I'd check you profile to see if you were only a kid and while your age is unlisted, you do have Ardmona down as "other teams".

Could the basis of this hatred you hold toward Ardmona and Meka stem from the fact you couldn't get a game there or a falling out with the club.

Please enlighten us all and then maybe your posts might be worth reading for a change.

FERGZ to win league medal in the 2's is that why he was a topic. You just wish you could be at ARDMONA but we don't except sooky little b.itches that talk behind backs if you had something against ARDMONA why don't you talk to them instead of holding a mothers club meeting it was waste of time in the end an it backfired on all your asses

The reason why the rest of the clubs held a meeting in secret and decided not to tell Ardmona about it, is because of attitudes like yours, because it's pointless in reasoning with those who's opinions are rusted on, and until that attitude changes within your club, from the President down, you will still be viewed as a arrogant and graceless club.

And if I was certain that your committee was doing everything in its power to be as good off the field as they are on it, were genuinely trying to enforce a "No D!ckheads" policy, and making the club a more family friendly environment, (which I'm afraid to say, isn't the case), then I wouldn't be talking about Ardmona in this way, Instead I would praise them for trying to do the right thing, and to be the best club they can be, but until that day comes, I will still hold onto my opinions.

And as far as Fergz goes, good luck to him (and really do mean that), he has been the best player in the two's, and he deserves to win the Medal, and it would be petty of me to begrudge someone their just rewards.

Also, instead of blaming the rest of the clubs for this situation about the fees, you should be blaming your committee for creating this situation in the first place, and for having such a callous disregard for both the KDFL and rest of its member clubs.

And BTW, I have no wish to be at a club that goes against the values that were instilled in me from my extended family (And especially, my Father who was heavily involved for decades in local football with the Mernda Football Club), that is why I'm at Murch, because I like the place, and although I wish that we were more successful, I would rather be at a club that loses with dignity than be at one that wins without grace.

footy time boys we are 1 week from finals

avenel smashed girgarre today, which was exactly what they needed to do to hold onto their slim chance of a finals berth but i also see that undera defeated rushy, which effectively shuts the door on both rushy and avenel.
The only chance of undera losing 5th spot now is if they lose to yea at home next week.... not gonna happen.

However good luck to them, they have been fantastic all year and are probably the best chance of the 3 teams to cause an upset come finals.

Also heard on the grapevine ( i was not at the game) that there was some interesting goings on in the 2ns quarter at avenel today? apparently one of the gig boys decided to vent their frustrations on our beloved #19. which ensued in an all in. am i correct?

as we (avenel) are now out of finals contention i would like to take this opportunity to wish ALL the teams in the finals the best of luck. yes even ardmona. regardless of what they do non-footy wise they are still a good football team.

And we shouldn t be hearing to much from the ardmona camp as they had the bye. Can any one tell if it gets much better, and hey the sun is shining as well. how are we dog's day

The Rushy and Undera game was billed as a big one, and it turned out to be the case. We started well and had a 5 goal buffer at half time, but we were pretty evenly matched. Second half was a lot tighter, we were talking after the game how perhaps apart from Godsmark and Storbroeker, they really just gave a very even team performance after half time, and we just couldn't quite find an avenue to goal to kick the vital one we needed to break their backs. As I'm sure Mooroopna man will agree, it was a finals type game, and they were perhaps a bit lucky getting the wind in the 3rd quarter, and then again in the last, but I guess in the end they wanted it more. Good luck to them, 2 points first time round, 7 this time, they've knocked off Tally, we've knocked off VT, so pretty even sides, wish them all the best in the finals, should be a good finals series. We've still got a big game against Tally this week, with nothing to lose, so hopefully we give them a good crack..

Couldn't be better thanks. Dan Reidy to play on Aaron James this week would be an interesting contest. A week to go and finals are definitely in the air. Great day for golf in fact if you had the time.

I played footy for Yea last year and still read the posts just to see what is happening in the league as i am generally interested. allthough the meka incident may have been a good topic i think it is over now and as other people have said there is only one week to finals and some serious footy needs to be talked about. there has been a page made to bag perry and or ardmona, so i think the comments thrown back and forth by shepboy and fergz need to be directed somewhere else. could anyone comment on who they believe will win finals and where violet town will end up. cheers

I do agree it was an amazing wind all day. Seemed to continually be changing. I thought you guys kicked against it in the first quarter when you won the toss, but I definitely think it favoured us in the 3rd and final quarters. It was a fantastic contest payed in really good spirits and you are right it was a really good team effort. I rate you guys as a side that could do some damage in the finals if you get there. We still have a big game against yea this week and if they are anything like what we played in the first round, we will have to be at our best to get over the line.
