Re: Kyabram District FL

ardmona have lost a few, stanhope might have a chance of finally winning that premiership

Ardmona dont seem to be Stanhope's main concern at the minute, Id be worried about the movements out at Tally and also at Violet Town.

Re: Kyabram District FL

Ardy wont be Stanhopes problem, Tally, Violet Town and Rushy will be the main contenders. Don't forget Stanhope did win premierships not that long ago, 2000 & 2003.

Was going to say that. I didn't think they'd been struggling to win a premiership for 25 years. Some people have short memories on BF, either because they can't remember or are too young to.

Spot on Tusken maybe the focus should be on when will Merrigum, Girgarre, Nagambie or Undera make their next finals series.

I don't think Stanhope's focus in 2007 will be looking over their shoulder too worry what the other sides have got just merely try to get to the finals in the best shape they can like the other 5 or 6 leading teams.

Re: Kyabram District FL

Atleast one of those blokes you mentioned and possibly the whole three will be with the Lions in 2007.
So who is the one?
Trist is at Ky and I hear from a source at Tongala that Grey is definitley goin there.
So that leaves Hansford, unless he's following Trist or Grey.

Re: Kyabram District FL

U are kiding urself T.Perry.. copey was on no where near as much as that, dont think have that much money to throw round. dont no wes personally but seen him play and heard alot about him and not only do we not have that sort of money, i dont believe he would ask for half that amount, from my knowledge is a friend of trots which is a major reason for his move

Thought I might get a response like that from some at VT, but I can tell you that it came exactly from the horses mouth and his missus - good mates with both of them thru mutual friends in Melb..

What's happening out Lancy and Merrigum way, 2 sides I thought would have both been in the recruiting mix..

Not that it's less than obvious, but I reckon there'll be massive changes at Gig soon - don't be surprised if both the coach and the assistant are sacked before the year starts.. Might see someone like Jeff Turpin being a fill-in..

Is that a money or discipline issue Tav. Would they be in danger of losing some of the recruits they paid for last year as well. I thought the bloke who coahed there before Jodie tried hard with a young list and played well himself.

Re: Kyabram District FL

Tim Easton probably did a good job with limited resources and for alot less than the budget for 2006

Agree Ringo Man, that was the guy I was thinking of. Couldn't remember his name. Is the reason he didn't get to keep the job because he didn't have the pulling power for recruits. Seemed like a nice guy and as I said played well.

Have heard that merrigum have a few dollars and have thrown a bit at some Tat players. What a sinking ship that joint is.

Pretty quiet out Lanky way Tav. ;)

Obviously Gig didn't go as they thought they would in 2006 Tav, but have you heard a whisper?

Roop, Easton a good player and quality guy. Perhaps the recruiting was the problem.:thumbsu:

Re: Kyabram District FL

i can give u a hot tip boys... the ship is sinking very fast at tat. everytime i chat with someone they are leaving the club. i will be the sole survivor! in saying that though we have picked up a full forward from sunbury and a ruckman from ballarat. and in talks with a couple others...

Re: Kyabram District FL

wonder what jumpers we will get at tat when we get dropped into the Ky district league in 2008???

I think that might be a bit premature TB, such a died-in-the-wool Tat person like yourself should know what a fighting club Tatura are and that this will only be a minor hiccup in their future!

Re: Kyabram District FL

You are right Akka, even with your limited time in the GV. Tat is a proud club and have the dollars there to get back in the mix. Is Wes Stott definately heading to VT or will Coop's appointment influence him otherwise. Tatybulldog are you a disgruntled Ryan??;)

haha nah im not a ryan.
and why is it that everyone thinks we are so well off?? we arent. the drought has hurt us. we rely on alot of farmers to help out with money but because of the tough times all we have is dairy week.
we have lost 17 senior players. tat will take longer then everyone thinks to get back to the status of a power club like they have for the last 10 yrs.

I believe Wes was at the top of coops' list for interviewing.

I think Wes will end up playing GVFL for Benalla. From all reports he is keen to go there, but he does have a close relationship with John Trotter at VT.
