Will they be bringing anyone back with them

I just found out after i wrote that that 3 of them had left for home this week..... It's just Sean and Phil still up there. We had our first training last night and Dean made it back from Darwin yesty. He brought back one bloke with him and he moved very well around the field... Daniel was his name. Not sure what his plans are though at this stage, but i'm sure we'll all be doing a lot of buttering up....

All four should be committed, and they often fall over:D But seriously, i think it is likely to be three at the most (might only be one).
I heard ruey was there sunday from stanny who are the other three that you think you might lose you have lost harrison & hansford ??i was talking to dave and he has givin a couple of numbers to shepp east coach so are there more to go as well or are they the gum three mentioned here ???

Norman, Harrison, Hansford, Pearce, Baker are all gone from my knowledge.

I heard Pearce wasnt playing footy at all this season? Having a year off. Baker to Merrigum? Wouldnt be surprised if Jamie Densley also went to Merrigum.

Baker and Densley? Never heard of them. Saw the Semi Final between Stanhope and Undera and a tall lanky fella was playing backline and i wasnt sure who he was, could have been one of the two?

Interesting to see that Longwood have advertised their vacant senior coaching position after the recent sacking. Particularly as news suggests they’ve already offered the position to last year’s assistant.

Is this a genuine attempt to find a coach, or just a smoke screen to say “the position was advertised” Has the agenda always been to get rid of the senior coach and give the job to his assistant?
Smells a bit fishy to me...... Any thoughts anyone?

stanny seem to lose players every year whats wrong out there is it the coach

It happens at every club, players leave due to work, where they are living, some for cash and others just becuase they want to play somewhere else. It doesn't just happen at Stanhope.

i relize this but you guys seem to lately do it every year seems to me your letting good players go and replacing them with reserve players and paying them if im correct on saying that

I'd doubt very much that Stanhope would be paying seconds players. The players they have replaced of late(from season 2007 til present) have been with kids and returning players from what i gather? You say they have been letting good players go and replacing them with reserve players, this must be the best way to recruit then as they have won 2 out of the last 3 flags and weren't far off this year:D. Must be working for the mainlanders

A fair bit of talk of late about clubs' recruiting. I see in the paper the other day Ardy have picked up a couple more under Simmo.

Anyone care to giver there Pre-Season form guide of how the ladder may look(Top 5 im more worried about but if you have the time by all means have a stab at a full ladder). I'll kick it off....

Undera
Nagambie
Merrigum
Lancaster
Murchison
Stanhope
Rushworth
Violet Town
Avenel
Tallygaroopna
Ardmona
Girgarre
Longwood
