hank, any news on whether manny is gonna play again or not? haven't spoken to him since the granny. i spoke to him at the final at undera for a while and he was still hopeful of getting back out on the park.

Yeah Manny is right to go next year and is very keen as you would expect. Has been playing a bit of hit and giggle for Merrigum in preperation for his pre-season.

Hi guys just wondering if someone could tell me whether or not Al Morris (Ex Pyramid Hill) has signed at Stanhope and Brendan Morris (ex Shepp Bear) has signed at Murchison. Ta

Heard that Brendan Morris has signed at Congupna. Heading there with Hampshire, both policemen. As for the other Rushy rumours about Mason and Archer, both appear to be off the mark. Archer is also joining Hampshire and Mason is staying with Shepp, assistant coach of the Thirds.

Spoke to Canavan the other day. Wayman is still on the agenda. Jodie also said that he was pulling on the boots, and had been in close discussions with Daniel Vance AND his brother Murray...of course, Gig have offered half of Rushworth's senior side and prob most of Stanhope and Ky outlandish amounts of $ to play, but Jodie was pretty confident of the Vance's coming thru...

That doesnt surprise me, Vance would sign anywhere for the right money. Someone should ring up from Corop and offer him a quid, I'm sure he'd jump at it. Murray says he'll play so they throw Daniel a good deal to get him and then doesnt front.

Aint that what happened at Shepp East this year??? Word was both were playing - Murray never turned out for a game and Daniel played 2-3 games then got cleared (I think back to Rushy???)

Canavan not a popular bloke at Rushworth at the moment. You don't chase the entire side you played for. Fair enough speaking to Snels, he is originally from Girgaree, but you don't approach every other player, poor form. Vancey apparently was going to take the year off, but the price is right and now looks like playing, but has said that he will not be able to train for the year. Murray has not played for years, I think his last year was with Donvale and he played only a couple.

i would think that gig need to get a fair amount of new recruits to rise up the ladder.
what are the waasdorps doing? i heard a rumour a couple of months back that chonk may be goin back to kyabram or tonny.

Hank i have found out from a great source that Al Morris will stay at Pyramid along with brother Rod. A lot of cash to be thrown around out that way

Re: Kyabram District FL

Just a quick Question....... Who will be the best CHB in the KDL in 06?

Nick Gibbs from Stanhope would have to go close.
Dipper Wilson will be the best player where ever he plays himself.
Not too many others that stand out, Mick Pell from Lancy but he has been playing mainly forward of late. Steve Gamble from Rushy if he fronts up again, very lose checking though, Scottie Hanson may play there for Rushy this year and would be very handy.

Chonk has committed to Rushy and will probably be playing a lot closer to the goals. Dujon is a passionate Rushworth man.

Tommy would have to get off the gas first Doona .... pass on my best to the Big Boy, top bloke and all but B&F 2006 is quite a stretch ??

Question was best CHB in comp, think Christo Leatham or Dipper would be our best bet at a B&F. Tommy missed 4 matches whilst in Europe this year, came back 5 kgs lighter than when he left and then went onto play the best football I've seen him produce in 3-4 years. You're right on one thing though . . . loves the gas. Me and Billy threw on a barrel for the boys last Friday night and you wouldn't be surprised to hear the Flowerdale lads (Tom. B, Stuie.B, Budgie and McKinna) were the last men standing.

Was asked for best CHB(Centre Half Back) Rosco, not B&F. As u would expect Doona has put forward Yea's, Havent seen Tommy play since thirds in the KDL but was a very good backman then.

Not because he's from Yea, I truly believe he'd be top 5 defenders easily. There seems to be a lot more high scoring forwards compared to our tight little comp, some Im guessing there arent a lot of big strong defenders, of which Tom is one.

Wasnt meaning that Doona, just that you would pick Yea's because you probably havent seen any of the other CHB's in the KDL. I would say he'd be in the top two, know he has represented the league and was Captain of Yea.
Not a lot of big Strong CHB's because they arent needed, the only sides this year with a prominent CHF were Tally, Rushy and Stanhope, and they were all best on the lead, not one on one.

Looks like Brendan White has pulled out of the Girgarre idea. Very Very strong word is that they have not got the money they promised him and he has cracked it and looks to be heading to Lancy for the 06 season. Seems his girlfriend will be playing with the bats and he is following.

Big set back for the roos. Although, the big man has only played a handfull of games in the last few seasons.

Heard he currently has a knee injury so it doesnt look like Lancy will get much use out of him either.

Did spend a year at Avenel before I went to Yea, and have followed the KDFL since I had rellies at Avenel a decade ago - haven't seen many really handy full backs either, would that be fair to say??? Maybe Tom can head back to the square, or go forward to the other square where he is just as dangerous. He'd do very well against players like Wayman and Pearce.

Is Shaun staying at Stanhope in '06???
