Girgarre may be starting to gain some momentum, Winterton from Rushy, Richie Walsh from Ky. Although lets not get our hopes up too high yet, long way to go. Will probably have to wait till first game to see who runs out for their starters.

Bishop will be a lion in 2006

Fletcher will be playing for the broady boys

Aldous would be just about ripe for super-rules - no disrespect to him because he WAS a very good player, but he's not up to major league pace anymore - bit like Salakowski. Would be serviceable for Avenel however helping the young kids coming through.

According to these pages he's a highly fancied priority recruit for Avenel, Colbo and Seymour 2's. The journalist thing might be a cover to ensure he can closely follow his sporting interests daily on the net (well thats why I did for 4 years anyway).

Have heard a strong rumour that a former Wallan centurian forward has been in discussions with Nagambie to travel North for the season, but is just waiting to hear who will be taking the reins for the Lakers in the coming season.

These days he is a rapidly expanding plodder with ruuted hammies and Avenel would be struggling bit time if they were looking at him as a paid recruit.
That said, I've heard that he has not even been approached by the Swannies.
Have it on pretty good authority that he's almost certain to stay with Seymour for 2006 (sorry HJ32).

Mentioned to Broadford they should ring Daff Fowler 3 weeks ago, would be ideal to help the kids and always said he'd like to one day return to the club he started his senior footy at.
Obviously they havent rang him . . . a la Alan Ezard - who was sounded out for the senior job and told he'd be called back. Strong word around Broady is that he was very keen to come home and take it on but for some reason the Roos never rang him back so he signed at Pascoe Vale instead.

if youre wanting to belt brendan white(Loveless) you will have to wait to the Rushy Lancy clash & then hope that he hasnt already got injured or bashed from the lancy Gig match. Not a welcome man in Roo land

i think rushy tiger will be more likely interested in watching the former rushie players at gig line up against there old side.

Avenel will be rubbing their hands together.
The Lakers sent out the SOS to Rob Auld on three seperate occasions but he seen the writing on the wall and wouldnt come to the party.

Believe Bertie Auld thought long and hard about doing the job even though he was/is moving to Adelaide with his job. Was going to put the job on hold to take the position.
Does seem as though Nagambie are going to be doing the hard yards again next year, especially with their best play over the past few years Brent Clydesdale already not playing.

Yeah heard the same thing, but they found out he was 27-28 and the rookie draft only goes to 23. nearly as unlucky as woey.

I am quite sure u would put your accountancy job on hold to coach in the KDL. ?? Right...!!!

Guess the Avenel mail was a little off the mark considering wheelbarrow just linked Fletcher to West Preston on the HDFL thread. Wherever Fletch plays he'll be a huge asset and a standout player in any league.
