Re: Kyabram District FL

Haven't heard about stink brennan or the Ohlens going to QLD. After talking with blokes on Sat night, I'd say that it is purely speculation that Snelson will end up at Gig (hasn't signed yet), even though most blokes seem to think he will end up there given it would cut down his travelling time, and they offered 3 times what Rushy could. No doubt a big loss for Rushy and a good get for Gig.

As for Ben and Sam Parker, as far as I know they'll be playing at Rushworth, though nothing is official yet, or will be until early 06.

Club is still in discussions with a top DV Div 1 CHB, who would probably play ruck in KDL. As far as I know, he, or a good mate of mine who is yet to decide if he's going to come to tigerland, would be the ruckman Travvy is talking about.

we've lost a few good players, no doubt, but should have a solid core and 7-8 quality juniors coming through. Wouldn't expect miracles from us at this stage, but should be more than competitive. Still a long way to go til April..

is the player you are talking about blight (forgotten his first name)?? yeah I heard rushy have several exciting youngsters about the traps ala rochy.

good to see you have signed up with bigfooty too buddy although I was fairly convinced you were under another username for a while.

Re: Kyabram District FL

Kezza Brennan will suit up at Rushy again I believe, QLD has fallen through, Ohlsen bros are weighing up between heading home to TOnny or staying at Rushy. Snelson has signed at Gig, but until he is cleared anything could happen.
Would think Rushy will still be at the very least finals material.

Rushy have also signed Tavis Perry who will be a huge player for them. From what i have heard, Rushy still expect Snels to be in the black and yellow next year. Lloyd and Gamble are playing with the Bendigo Bombers, but if that falls through, they will be returning to Rushy. Parkers will be enormous and the kids have talent. Rushy will be more than competitive, just have to wait and see what the rest of the league are going to do. I think everyone would agree that Stanhope are the team to beat for 2006.

Big bonus T.Perry. Will it solely money that will see Snelson go to Gig. Surely the attraction of being in a more than competitive side is enough to stick with the Tigers?

Snels won't play for a team that won't be competitive. If they sign a fair few between now and when clearances open, then they will get him. Money will be important, but remember that he signed for Tongala last year, before their supposed recruits fell through and then he went back to Rushy. If Gig. don't sign many, then they won't get Snels either.

Yeh, I think that's a fair call. Snels is definitely a team player and $ doesn't seem to influence him that much, but if Gig are going to pay him what i heard they've offered, considering he has 4 kids under 5, he'd have to seriously consider it. In saying that, he's smarter than most blokes give him credit for, and if Gig don't sign many more, I think he'd realise that he'd get targetted a fair bit, get frustrated, and spend a fair bit of time on the sidelines..

Good to hear from ya Mainy. The bloke you're thinking of is Cameron Blight - but no, he's not coming to Rushy, coaching the side where i played last year, Smithton. Be a pretty handy pick up in the KDL, 2yrs at Carlton, VFL best and fairest, VFL team of the year rep - might take me another couple of years to convince him to come down...

Tavis Perry is an absolute gun and will be one of the top midfielders in the comp!!! Champion bloke as well!!!

Gee Tav, there all coming out in support for you, wonder if they have worked out that T.Perry is you!!!. Anyway not sure weather he will play midfield is probably more dangerous closer to goal as there aint too many that can go with him pace wise. Good for 5-10 min a quarter in the middle. Can see him kicking some bags next year.

Fair comments by all about Snels, would say that he would second most things that have been said. Money is definately helpful but he did start is career at Gig when he moved to the region and played in a premiership in the U/18s, also living 2minutes from the Girgarre Rec would help.

yeah fair call hank. tav might be a good footy player but to call him a 'champion bloke' would be being a little generous imo hehe.

Re: Kyabram District FL

Brad Lowe to stay at Ardy and also take on the Assistant coaching role

Yeh, thought I'd be like Doona, and prob yourself in a way, and not worry about hiding behind a username. Thanks for the comments, but if what's written on the GV thread is correct, and Archer and Mason come AND we get a Parker or 2, I'll be lucky to get 5-10min on the ball for the year, let alone every quarter!

Can't remember seeing either of them play, though have heard of both of them. Hadn't heard any mention that the club was even in discussions with them. Would obviously be fantastic if they came on board.

No surprises with Lowey, not sure who his mates are out at the cattery, but he's def a very, very loyal bloke, that's for sure! No doubt the boys at Stanhope would be getting in his ear during the summer!

Is it fair to say that it looks as though Tally might have lost 4 of their best 5-6 players?

Re: Kyabram District FL

Hi guys just wondering if someone could tell me whether or not Al Morris (Ex Pyramid Hill) has signed at Stanhope and Brendan Morris (ex Shepp Bear) has signed at Murchison. Ta

Yeah read that about the Shepp blokes, news to me, would be more than handy for you blokes though.

Tally, I would say they might even miss the finals action next year, its not as if they were well ahead of the pack this year so to lose those players will really put them under the pump.

Brothers aren't they???
Vividly remember big Al Morris spitting on "The Whale" Steve Pannell in an Elmore vs Broadford clash some years back (not a good move). Not a bad ruckman in his younger days, dunno nowadays though aint seen play for some time.

From memory Brendan played came through the Bloods thirds with the likes of Stevie Ingram, Matty Powell, Taigy, Jase Pangrazio and co. Played some good senior footy also, but aren't qualified to comment about his time at Shepp.

Was there another brother (Rod???) who ran around at North Bendigo and Lockington in recent years???
