Avenel v Lancaster

Avenel came away from wombatland with a strong performance under their belt as they brushed off a mistake ridden lancaster outfit. The avenel half back line was an impermeable force along with solid performances from stevens (5 goals) and williams, o'dwyer and lowis. Lancaster was out-muscled by the swans but nick varcoe with help from leigh wade and thomas were the better performers. Avenel, from what i've seen look like they have the ability to match it with the better teams in the comp...the swans are finals contenders and id see them take undera's spot in the top 5.
 
Tallgaroopna v Merrigum

Well tally gave merrigum a good touch up but its not like anyone did't see it comeing. Not much i can say about the game because tally where good merrigum where bad (with a few tally players i might add) well that all i think..

That is the rumour but i havnt heard anything from the club yet. I would hav thought that most people would love to still have the bye tho, so they might want another team to replace Yea??

Ardmona should be respected because their coach this year wont take any crap from his players and he controls the drop kicks, but they don't have the depth. VT had a day out against Stanhope, but they have three guys that do most of the work. Lancaster have been missing some players, but they are at least ten goals behind the leaders. Nagambie is the unknown. I actually think Undera are better tha them.

Just wanna have my say with the ardy thirds this yr.....
First of all i wanna say well done to the boys,as its been a very long time since making finals....I would also like to say Well done on the coach of ardy as i no the bloke very well and his a very switched on footy minded guy.His done a great job tryin to get where his boys are.As for the drop kicks,its not a matter of drop kicks its a bit unfair there....If u spoke to half of them one on one u wuld b surpised.YEah they may have some lil shits there but im sure EVERY club has them which ever grade.
I feel they will go a long way in finals but i also feel some of the kids dont quite understand what is at stakes eg premiership!

i agree good year so far but it isnt finals yet. ardy has the chance of not making it so dont talk to soon.

and even if lanky make finals they were 15 goals off stanhope, waste of time them being there, avenel are the best side in the competition at full strength

question marks over avenels victory of lanky, sources have found out that the swans had 23 players. 18 on field 5 on the bench, never know, lanky could get the points ending avenels finals hopes and keeping lanky's alive

Yeah Nagambie go alrite but are nowhere near the pace of the other teams in the comp such as Violet Town and Stanhope. Star players for the lakers include Luke Wilkshire and of course the toughest player in the comp Trent Muir. Massive hero!!:thumbsdown:

Yeah it is true. but we arnet low like avenel and wont try take thier points.

Lancy had 18 on the field as well, and you are allowed to have 5 players on the bench,you can only have 22 players in the finals, So get your facts straight!!

Any team could b best in the comp at full strengh mate.....
Have we still forgotten about ardy?They a great side and only lost to namagbie for being lazy....I honesty believe nag arent much at all!They have mayb 2 standout players.Not sure of there names so do excuse me..
V.T are a ok side.Undera are underdogs.Stanhope arent all made to be but still the side to beat.

talk ardy up a bit more. anyone can say we should have won IF we done this. does this mean we can say merrigum should have beaten tally if only they had that extra 14 or 15 good players. dont think so. or can we say stanhope should have beaten VT if only stanhope had kicked that extra 6 or 7 goals. so many if's

i have only watch one KDL game this year, and it happened to be nagambie and stanhope, i notoced that muir was one of the biggest tosses to walk onto a footy field, for a little fella he seems to have a fair bit to say, even his old man has a dig at the crowd. it was a very enteraining game of footy

Totally agree with u there. "Any team could b best in the comp at full strengh mate..." How can u say that Leigh? U find 1 person who agrees with that statement!
 
people have said VT have the best forward line but they have 4 players who have kicked 10 goals or more compared to stanhope 9, ardy 6 and undera 6, this says VT rely on too few to kick there goals and thats why they wont win the premiership. 3 good defenders to take the three forwards out and then what ???
 
if i were 7 foot tall i'd be a ruckman...same argument leigh

also...Stanhope have only 2-3 good strong backmen, rest are mediocre, VT had 6 goalkickers against stanhope few weeks ago, what happened to the best backline in the comp then...

and on another note..markus lang is leading the votes on the internet award, can the bloke play or just an average player in a bad team?

i couldnt happen to agree anymore.... biggest nutcase in the league. hes about 2' 3" and walks around like hes about 10' 5".
 
Violet Town vs Lancaster - VT at home, 8 goals
Murchison vs Yea - Yea too strong, 12 goals
Girgarre vs Rushworth - Rushy by 4 goals
Nagambie vs Stanhope - Stanhope by 3 goals, but Nagambie to play 3 solid qtrs
Merrigum vs Ardmona - Ardy by 20 goals
Undera vs Tallygaroopna - Undera to hit form and some add %, 10 goals

Should have two good games in Girgarre vs Rushy, and Nagambie vs Stanhope. Although Girgarre v Rushy isnt goin to shake the finals spots, should b pretty even.
