Glad Kerr got no suspension, especially considering the media kefuffle over it. Types like David Scwharz or whatever had a coronary and then proceeded to lambast the wafl administration over it. Seems to forget that the AFL let Chris Judd off for smacking Pavlich in the head when they are allowed to use video evidence, and he went on to win the brownlow. Muppets
Yeah agree with this. Kerr's effort was pretty soft in comparison, but maybe both should have gone? Too late, won't happen, time to move on.
The big thing coming out of this is not how hard the hit was but the fact that he did it. Eagles have stood by him, through a lot of indiscretions and not much footy from him over a few seasons. Frankly, he owes them better than he's showing. Plus, he's a senior player not a young and stupid kid, he should be past this undisciplined crap by now and start contributing instead of causing more angst.

bell was a solid accumulator and thanks to his time at trashmantle i saw him play a lot. but wow... to suggest he ever reached the level of kerr in his prime?

Actually yes Judd was excellent in the Grand Final as well. He's a finals god.
Would have been a well deserved Norm Smith to go with the Brownlow he should have won that year too. Embley was a good winner though, played brilliantly at both ends of the ground.

Umm.. yes you can. Norm Smith is for the best player in a GF - You can win it even if every other game you ever play is shocker.
Fletcher was great in the grand final. As was Judd. But Embley was also a deserving winner.

I think what Scotland meant is that you don't win the Norm Smith because you've had a relatively good game against your own benchmarks. Would be like giving Leon Davis the Norm Smith because he got 10 kicks.
