DON'T LOOK AT MEEEEEEEE

With this fine and Jackson getting in trouble for writing on facebook I might go support North Korean football, they are far less restricted in what they can say or do.

This is becoming a joke. If the AFL don't take a good hard look at themselves at the end of this season, I will personally egg Gieschan's, Anderson's and Vlad's houses.

how would that punish us?

I am researching the AFL umpires and our perceptions of their performance.

Would very much appreciate you taking a few minutes to complete this voluntary survey (link below). Rest assured your answers will remain completely anonymous.

Please feel free to pass it on to any friends and associates who might like to have their say!

Thanks

This sort of stupid fine makes umpires even more hated. We try to not put any attention on the umpires, then the media make a mountain out of a molehill. IMO Knights hasn't been demonstrative or abused any umpires, he simply looked at them with a look on his face that suggested he was upset with them.

Seriously, this has got to stop, umpiring is getting battered from pillar to post, the media jumps on every single error like it is the worst umpiring decision of all time.

Looks more like the Herald Sun put the whole staring thing in and Knights actually got fined for the comments he made about the umpiring, which he's not supposed to do and got fined for it.

Big media build up and you all fell for it.

The Hun were right,he was given a $5000 suspended fine for giving the umps the evil eye.The club got a $5000 suspended fine for his comments on the umps.

ESSENDON coach Matthew Knights has been handed a suspended $5000 fine for his behaviour towards the umpires during the Bombers’ loss to Melbourne last Sunday.

Knights was captured on camera glaring and shaking his head at the field umpires while they were gathered in the middle of the ground for the three-quarter time break.

The club has also been handed a suspended $5000 fine for comments Knights made following the match, when he criticised the number of 50m penalties paid against his team

How long until we see umpire morality boxes installed in the coach's box, a la Demolition Man?

dismayed stare = 5000 credits
puzzled expression = 2000 credits
contrary thoughts = 500 credits
