According the Greek mythology, if you look into the eyes of Medusa you will turn to stone. Umpires are the Medusas of AFL football. Dangerous little buggers they are. Funny how they can talk to players like crap all through the match, but the moment a player opens his mouth, or even thinks about saying something, it's 50 metres.

I never used to be anti-umpire but this season has pushed me over the top. I cannot tolerate their self indulgence any more.

I don't think I've ever seen the umpires so blatantly trying to get a team back in the game (at least in an Eagles game, anyway).

Watching the last quarter, you've got to wonder how the AFL will justify it this time...
