Kozi Cleared To Play!!!

I have no problem with Kosi getting off, good on him and so he should.

Which is the damning part of Milburn's tackle? That he pinned the arms, like you are told to when tackling? That he brought him to ground, like you are told to when you tackle? That the ball got knocked out, which happens all the time? Or that the kid was a bit groggy for 20 minutes?

Just a combo of these that gives a few people an anxious feeling in their tummys and will have mothers everywhere shaking their heads?

Why should it matter whether your opponent has the ball, or whether you think your opponent has the ball? A dangerous tackle is a dangerous tackle. He still slammed his opponent into the turf. Isn't a trip a trip, or a strike a strike?

IMO Kozi would have buried Wakes head into the ground regardless if he saw the ball out or not....come on.;)

But good on him for being able to play next week and good luck to the Saints.:thumbsu:

I hope players like Kozi and Milburn will get a tackle like that one day.
If you dish it out exspect it back.....bring back the BIFF.:D

You slow the play down to 0.01 seconds and say that Milburn saw the ball go out. How ridiculous, real time that would have been a flash of light, possibly the telstra dome roof.

It was only because the player Milburn crushed was a young kid, and it looked bad because he was concussed.
Maybe it was swamp gas reflecting off a wheather baloon?:D
Seriously though it did look bad and he was concussed. He did appear to see the ball come out.....if you have to work so hard to make excuses or invent possible scenarios to justify or explain what happened then chances are you are wrong. I hazzard to suggest it but Okhams razor much?:p Also its well and truelly done with let it go lolz.

Re: Kosi Let Off - Let's make this about Geelong - Milburn should've been let off

The difference is the intent.

Milburn slammed him into the ground, Kosi threw him to ground.

FWIW I don't think either should be reported. Part of football should be having the strength and awareness not to be driven into the ground.

If we are reporting people based on 'duty of care', then personally I reckon pushing a player into a contest is far more dangerous than driving a player into the ground and it's currently a free kick at best.

The ball is clearly behind Milburn when he turns his head for a second.
Impossible for him to have seen something behind his head. A scientific fact.

Dilburn clearly looks at the ball when it gets knocked away and then after piledriving his victim's head into the ground he then looks exactly yes exactly to the spot where the ball went :(

An open your eyes and stop being a braindead dumbarse Geelong supporter fact :thumbsu:

Week one of the finals really got to you didn't it? :D
Deep down you wanted to believe Chapman was wrong, but you had the truth rammed up your jacksie for all to see.

Watch the last replay on the video. When Milburn looks to the side the ball is clearly behind him.

How the heck are you going to interpret that?

Good point, how am I going to interpret that

If a player is slammed into the ground, the means should not be taken into consideration. That's why I find Milburn's report more puzzling, since neither a free kick was awarded, nor a report made by the umpire. Two different actions, same result.

Whether Milburn sees the ball spill out or not, he is looking at the guys hands as he drives him into the ground. Where does he think the ball might be?

Yet you are having trouble in accepting the fact that all 4 sides that play this weekend will start on level terms

Seriously that bulge in the back of your pants is becoming extremely noticeable :(

The cracks are beginning to appear!!!!

Deep down at the time Chapman knew he was wrong and he was proven to be wrong the very next week which made him look like a ridiculous fool

That said at least Chapman has since learnt to keep his fat mouth shut unlike the majority of Geelong supporters on these boards

Yet 95% of the posters in this thread disagree with your observations - I wonder who is wrong :(

and to actually think that I thought you were one of the more intelligent Geelong forumites ...... such a shame

You are going to have a lot of players reported Bill.

A free kick was actually paid against the Tiger for holding the ball.

Have another look at the last 2 replays, where you actually get a perspective shot. It looks like he's looking at it in the first two, but then you can see that the ball is behind him. Just discussing it as I would hate seeing our game become too soft.

Most people believe they will go to some kind of heaven when they die too. Usually it's easier to go with the flow.

I don't think anyone would accuse you of being one of the Saints leading lights.
