So are you happy for him to go to the PSD? Looks like it could happen.

"This has been gone over so many times here and on the main board that it must have been near on impossible for you to have missed the reason why the Swans have money next year. You actually have to be a ****. Are you?"---------Dunno where you got that 'Adelaide Crows' but I never posted it.Be careful the egg doesn't splash on your face.
Haha, what if you are a Victorian South Aussie?? *looks at self in mirror* aaaaahhhh f*ck it....You know what South Aussies are like, easy to upset and the worst thing you can say to them is there related to Victorians,
I haven't been looking at anything Tippett over the last few days, completely sick of it. But what is this emergency meeting?
Crows apparently pulled there coaching staff.recruiting and list management people together yesterday for an unscheduled.
Though guessing by their procrastination the meeting agenda may have started as so
Item 1: Kurt Tippet may want to leave.
Complete opposite mate. Short term would be to take the 23. Long term is to show some backbone and PSD the dog.The supporters wont give a rats if the 23rd draft pick is a winner - really short term thinking by the fans, which sort of gives an insight to why you are loosing good players.
You know what would be even more useful in getting good value in trades. Maintaining good relations with the player instead of having the football club and fans abuse him at every opportunity. He might still leave but he might be much more prepared to work with the club to get a good result. I get the feeling that any relationship between Tippett and AFC were shattered beyond repair long before Sydney got involved. Now, Tippett is just giving the middle finger to AFC by nominating Sydney.
So what are your thoughts on AFC public statements over the last month or so? Doesn't matter what Kurt Tippett has done to you, the professional thing is to say nothing public until trade was done. Then you can say what you like. Who knows, maybe Tippett was open to a more reasonable trade until all that shit rained down. Please don't post things you dont know about. Adelaide was unbelievably supportive of Kurt and did everything they could to accomodate his needs while he was at the AFC. We drafted him and gave him the chance at AFL. Nurtured him and then made him our highest paid player (despite not being the best). Then when he said this year he was possibly returning home (to Qld) we understood. Obviously wanting to keep him we put together a very lucrative offer (other players even took pay cuts). Then when he put contract talks off til the end of the year it was pretty obvious we thought he was going to QLD.
Then at the last minute he changes his mind to Sydney despite everything (that not being his home, and you guys having very little to offer the AFC for a suitable trade) and refused to talk to other clubs in negotiations. It wasn't til he announced Sydney as his only destination, basically giving a big slap in the face to the AFC (despite everything they'd done for him) that the supporters and club showed any kind of anger and resentment towards Kurt.
Saying we no lonnger have someone at the club who doesn't want to be there and thats already a win? That just the truth and can't see it hurting anyone. And no kurt has proved he doesn't care about the AFC so there's no point going into it.So what are your thoughts on AFC public statements over the last month or so? Carlton could say the same thing about Sam Jacobs. We drafted him as a rookie. nurtured him for 4 years and elevated him onto the senior list. His last game for Carlton was in a final. Carlton didnt want to lose him , he was offered a new contract.Complete opposite mate. Short term would be to take the 23. Long term is to show some backbone and PSD the dog.

Just as was about to blossom he wanted out, being chased by Adelaide. Carlton wanted a first round pick, which wasnt unreasonable.
Adelaide argued that pick 33, ( the pick used to get him) in other years would be the equal of an early 20's pick because GC had all the early picks that year. Well, the Swans could argue that pick 23 would be pick 18 if the compensation picks werent in play this year.
They cant have it both ways, if Carlton had held firm then Jacobs may never have gotten to Adelaide.
If a player is uncontracted then unfortunately the club often doesnt get full compensation, you take what you can get.
Adelaide were quite happy to get Jacobs for a steal then they must accept that sometimes you lose out on a trade.
I think the Karma bus is about to hit them.
Hold firm Sydney and dont offer them anything more. What goes around comes around.
Maybe to some. But I think to the majority it would still show to our supporters that we have some backbone and wont allow uncontracted players to mess us around and show other clubs that we wont be bent over a barrel with our players and accept 'just anything' for our best players. It would help prevent our big players being targeted when they are coming out of contract as well. If we accepted the proposed deal we would be laughed at by the competition and there would likely be a huge supporter backlash.

Anyone think the emergency meeting the crows had this weekend is because we gave them an ultimatem, this is what were offering full stop end of story and if you don't come to the party by early this week we just try the draft option.
