What were the guide lines Ardmona had to do after last year , is it true they had to show to be competitive by rnd 6 not just have a team.

It's a case of not enough players in the district for the amount of clubs. They may be better off seeking a merger for next season rather than falling by the wayside.
Do you have a club in mind skippy, A club that Ardmona should approach in a possible merger !!!

What’s gonna happen come finals time? (talking U/18s)

I think there’s only 2 clubs that have over 18 players they can call there own. Which is Stanhope & Murchison. Every other club have about 12-16 players that are there own full time players.

Only asking because come finals time you can’t play players from other clubs like the clubs are doing now to fill up the last few spots to make a game.

Quite scary & sad the way junior footy is going, Not just the KD but other leagues too.

From how I understand it, kids from under 16’s can qualify and therefore be allowed to play finals. I’m pretty sure.

They can but I believe there is a 6 game limit they can play, and only two finals. Or has this changed?

What do you mean by two, Do you meant they can play two games in finals?

Or do you mean they can only play to finals start (so normal season)

Because that’s what I’ve always thought / heard (the second scenario, that they can only play up til finals)

According to the census, Undera population dropped by over a hundred in just 5 years to just 442. The primary school has only 9 boys from grade 1-6. I'm thinking in years to come a few players from Ardmona would help fill the teams - and it's only 10 mins drive away.

I know acouple of teams that played permit kids in finals but they had to play 6 games during the year to qualify. I don’t know if the limit is 2 games because the teams that used them only lasted 2 weeks in finals

There has been a wide variety of area agreements between the various leagues - would have thought AFL GM could clarify this and the differences - but was under the impression as to whether U16's can play finals depends on whether they are playing finals in their U16 side also - often if they have played the required number of games on permit during the H+A season then they can get a late clearance one way or the other to compete finals. ie if U16 team not playing finals can get cleared to play KDFL finals. I believe this applies also going from U18 or U17 (as in MFL) to U16 comps for finals if have been playing on permit that way round, although think there are special rules when it comes to U18's been considered a senior not junior comp too.

Hope that hasn't confused the matter further.

I think that is the logicial case

Any truth in a rumour that a club in the KDFL are going to lose some premiership points in the Under 18's?

I was at Lancy v Merrigum. No goals scored at one end of the ground (due to wind) until the doggies slotted one on the 3/4 time siren. They were about 4-5 goals down, coming into the final quarter with the massive breeze, but made a mess of it. Both sides scored 2 goals a piece in the final quarter.

Interesting...are there 2 timekeepers?
The Senior card for timekeepers states that the clock should only stop for goals and behinds (central umpire "time off" is supposed to be a given). I've heard that there have been instances of "negotiating" for boundary throw ins which should not be happening. However, given that the ball can take a while to be returned before being thrown in along with the umpire positioning him or herself (many boundary umpires are beginners and are called to move into the field of play be the controlling umpire) surely the controlling central umpire should be using some nous and signalling "time off" when it is obvious that a throw in won't be immediate.

Rule
10. 2. 1 b when the controlling body does not appoint a timekeeper each team shall appoint a person to act as a timekeeper for the match in which the teams participate. So ultra check out who was your club rep in the box and ask him why such a long quarter 38 min very strange !!
