Yeah hard job to umpire and then work out who was best.
Think I mentioned previously Zac not a big vote getter. 2019 didn’t get one vote.

What would be a solution for this challenge to umpire and give votes? Similar comments are made in AFL ranks.

Opposition coaches or captains giving votes?

A league appointed spectator analysing the game and then giving votes?

Slipping the umpires the clubs top 6 players as selected by the clubs to “inform” their decision.

Personally, I think it just needs to be accepted that the umpires do a pretty good job.

Think they do an excellent job Grasskat! If it was such an easy one there wouldn’t be a shortage! Wouldn’t like to change the tradition of them judging the medal despite the challenges. Doubt anyone has won it and NOT deserved it!

This confuses me. Can you explain the context as why would he come in to play reserves footy? Clearly I must be missing something as based upon this year, Kyabram clearly need an injection of talent.

Who in particular mate? Why wouldn't Newman welcome back a Jim Ross? You were back in the pack this year, so if you to expect similar outcomes to the last few years, you need an injection of something, that is for sure.

Someone mentioned Holman is coming back ... Out go Mattingly, Childs, Sheldon(s), Pettifer and Mangin. Big Jake is big, he is also older and not played much.

You cannot replace the quality of Mattingly, Pettifer, Mangin, Childs and T Sheldon with kids.

I still think you are kidding yourself Hilly given the outs! Holman is your best In, and he isn't a Morrison Medalist.

Hoping Jim Ross proves you wrong at Kyabram or some other major league club.

From what I’m hearing around the traps, the KDL could be in for its best year for a while with a few clubs really having a crack, u have shepp east picking up a fair few from United and dookie apparently getting a few aswell from United.. murch getting 5 or 6 from mooroopna apparently and stanny picking up 4 or 5 aswell from Melbourne, I’m sure avenel will be getting a few more aswell.. will be a great season by the looks
