I think 80% of the “abuse” was towards there own club mates

We’d love to get him back as a player no doubt. Even in the coaching group in some capacity I would imagine - he was a great leader for us (I was a bit more involved in the playing group in 2019). At this stage though I don’t believe he would be our head coach next season though, but I’m happy to get a surprise!

WOW not a great look for the KDL for outsiders and not that long ago the GF was a disgrace
 
On a positive note, I'm hearing Rushworth had a panel interview last night with a potential senior coach for 2024 which is great news for the club going forward!

From what I've heard plenty of work has gone into getting people back to the club whether it be player's or volunteer's! Fingers crossed they get it right as it'd be a massive boost for club & league to see Rushworth back up & running like old times.....

Will be a shared role between all the leaders involved, but Darcy head coach on the team sheet I guess.

In regards to your other questions we’ve mutually parted ways for next season as I said a couple of pages back… but in the more immediate future, Jaydon had some personal/family stuff going on last weekend and that’s continued into this weekend so we’ve let him just focus on that which is more important than footy for these last couple of weeks.

Yes I’m heavily involved in the club. We’ve known for weeks Jaydon wasn’t coaching next season so plenty of conversations are underway with potential coaches. Not looking to advertise if we can find the right person for the group.

Leaders and new recruits all helping with this too which is always the best way to go about it. “Players are the best recruiters” is something that always stuck with me from Box over the years. Which rings true 99% of the time.

So I've seen you advertise on your club page all football position's up for grabs except the senior position like you said? So I'm guessing you's already have someone you's are happy with otherwise surely you still advertise just on the chance you's find someone else out there??

Be a watch this space! Any chance Pettifer finally comes out to coach? Word has been for years he just wanted 1 more season, 1 more season at Ky then he'll come out to Merrigum to finish his career where his dad had previously coached/played?

That would be a huge get that puts Merrigum back into a challenging position..... All the best mate..... 👍🏾

Yeah I posted that last night for the club. I’ve just kept Seniors off it at this stage just as I know there’s at least one serious conversation with a potential coach led by some of the playing group.

I will advertise for a Senior coach if that doesn’t come to fruition or just for full transparency at some stage I may post any way just to give people any opportunity to put their hand up and be considered even if we have a solid candidate wanting to do it. I’ll let the committee decide that though.

Just out of respect for Jaydon I also didn’t want to post looking for a Senior coach before the last game of the season either.
 
No, Petts isn’t in the conversation for Senior Coach (to my knowledge). But you hear around the club each year that he’s eventually coming next season. I’m sure you heard that during your time at the club too and that ended 5 years ago!

There’s currently more players he’s connected with at the club now and he’s not getting younger so it’s always a possibility if he wants to. I would imagine he’s more of a 6-10 game proposition though if he was to ever come out. It would be a nice story.
